Jack Fisher’s Weekly Quick Pick Comic: Captain Marvel #9

If you want to know the true character of a superhero, then just look at how they handle themselves when their powers are weakened or removed. The heroes with the strongest character won’t change in the slightest. They’ll keep being a hero. They just have to adapt to their limitations. The lousy ones tend to cower and whine like a kid who lost their binkie.

Carol Danvers has a history of losing her powers, her identity, and her bodily autonomy. Her character has been tested more than most and, through many setbacks and losses, she never stops being the hero she strives to be. Now, Kelly Thompson and Carmen Carnero are testing her again in “Captain Marvel #9,” but it’s a different test of character.

For the past few issues, Carol has been having issues with both her powers and her public image. She couldn’t handle a standard tentacle monster that seems to attack New York every other day in the Marvel universe. On top of that, news got out of her Kree Heritage, as revealed in “The Life of Captain Marvel.” Now, her status in the Air Force and the public trust she’s worked so hard to earn is in question.

If that weren’t challenging enough, there’s a new female hero in town named Star who may or may not be tied to her recent issues, but is already becoming more popular. That’s a lot of challenges, to say the least.

However, “Captain Marvel #9” does not devolve into another story about a superhero becoming paralyzed by vulnerability and self-doubt. It certainly has all the right ingredients for that kind of struggle, but that’s not the direction that Thompson goes and that’s refreshing. There are enough stories about superheroes losing their powers and whining about it. Carol Danvers doesn’t whine. She confronts that shit.

She even finds time to squeeze in a little sexy time with her boyfriend, James “War Machine” Rhodes. Powers and reputation are important, but so is spending quality time with her significant other. Say what you want about Carol, but she knows how to prioritize. That, alone, is a strong measure of her character.

It also establishes that Carol isn’t going to deal with these challenges alone. She accepts help from the likes of Rhodes, Tony Stark, and her long-time friend, Jessica “Spider-Woman” Drew. She doesn’t always accept it immediately, but she does accept it in the spirit of finding answers.

That’s not to say she does so without an attitude. She’s still Carol Danvers. She has an attitude, regardless of what’s going on with her powers and reputation. She may lose her strength, but she doesn’t lose her edge. Thompson makes it a point to demonstrate that on many occasions and not all of them involve a shirtless James Rhodes.

There’s a bigger mystery at work and it’s not just about Carol’s powers. There are issues surrounding the tentacle monster that Carol fought, as well as the recent appearance of Star. Some of those issues are explored more than others, but they all seem to have a common link.

Carol is still trying to be the same Carol she’s always been, but that’s just not possible anymore. She’s half-Kree. She knows this and now the entire world knows this. In a perfect world, that wouldn’t matter. She would still be the same person she’s always been and the people who adore her would just shrug it off.

However, the Marvel Universe is not a perfect world. It may have Deadpool and Squirrel Girl, but it’s far from perfect. People are still paranoid and untrusting for all the wrong reasons. It’s the same world that takes J. Jonah Jameson seriously. It has many flaws and they do put a strain on Carol’s efforts.

That’s what helps give “Captain Marvel #9” the necessary impact. Carol doesn’t lament or whine about the declining state of her powers, but she does show moments of frustration. It’s a fitting reminder that she still has a human side. It still bothers her when a part of her identity is taken because the public is uncomfortable with her heritage. It also bothers her that a new hero is in town to show her up in her weakened state.

She could whine about it like a teenage Peter Parker. She could use it as an excuse to be an asshole to her friends, as well. Plenty of other A-list superheroes have made similar excuses for less valid reasons. That’s not what she does, though. Thompson and Carnero don’t let Carol fall into that same trap. It’s a reflection of the kind of hero she is.

Beyond just providing Carol with a test of character, “Captain Marvel #9” also deepens the mystery surrounding her new Kree heritage. There are a few unexpected twists that add both complications and intrigue. For a story that could’ve easily become a predictable diatribe about a hero losing their powers, it’s both relieving and refreshing.

If nothing else, “Captain Marvel #9” proves that Carol Danvers has the character of a hero, regardless of superpowers or public perception. Having all those traits and still finding time to get sexy with James Rhodes further affirms that she deserves our admiration and respect.

Sex Robots And Sexy Short Stories: A (Big) Response And New Ideas

richardson20main

Whenever I write one of my Sexy Short Stories, I do so not knowing whether it’ll resonate with audiences. Like any other media or genre, it really is a crap shoot. You have no idea what’s going to hit and most of the time, the stuff you think will hit ends up missing.

Well, in the past couple days, I’m dealing with the biggest hit I’ve had since I started writing these Sexy Short Stories. Fittingly enough, it’s all thanks to sex robots.

It’s kind of fitting. I write articles about them. Now, my most successful short story in terms of traffic and upvotes on Reddit is built around them. To date, I’ve written three short stories involving sex robots.

Eva One’s First Test

Adam One’s First Test

My First Sex Robot

Just this past week, “My First Sex Robot” became the most successful to date. It received over 60 upvotes on Reddit and garnered more positive comments than any other story to date. On top of that, I got a considerable spike in traffic on this website, thanks to that story.

I don’t know if it’s just timing or a fluke, but there seems to be a market and an appetite for stories featuring sex robots. Since writing sexy short stories is one of my passions, I’d like to fill that need.

With that in mind, I’d like to use this opportunity to solicit input. Sex robots are an emerging technology. It’s something that most still see as curiosity or a peculiarity. I suspect they’re going to be much more than that in the coming years. I’d like to get ahead of that curve, as much as possible.

To do so, there are many questions to contemplate. This is a new technology and an emerging genre. What do you, the readers, want in a story about sex robots? I’m not just talking about sex robots being a minor plot detail. What kind of story do you want to read when sex robots are the center of the story?

Do you want to read a story that’s told completely from the point of view of the sex robot?

Do you want to read about how people and users react to sex robots?

Do you want to read about the emotional connections that these robots form with their lovers?

Do you want to read about new and unique sex acts that are only possible with a sex robot?

Do you to read about the artificial intelligence aspect of sex robots?

Do you want to read about how sex robots change or subvert romance?

Do you want to read about robots falling in love when they’re not supposed to?

I’m sure I’m missing a few questions, but that’s exactly why I’m making this post. Please, if you can, take the time to let me know what kind of stories you want me to write on this topic. I’ve already got a few other stories in the works, but I’d like to focus more on sex robots for future stories. I want to see if I can break new ground in this genre.

To those who helped make “My First Sex Robot” such an unexpected success, I thank you. Now, let’s build on it!

When Sex Is Divorced From Reproduction: The Possibilities And Implications

virtual-reality-sex-110219

Relatively speaking, it wasn’t that long ago in humanity’s history when finding food was a matter of survival. It wasn’t as simple as walking into the nearest grocery store and buying whatever was on sale. Individuals, governments, and societies dedicated a good chunk of their time and energy into securing a stable food source. Those who didn’t were usually the first victims of the next famine.

These days, getting a meal is less about survival and more about logistics. Thanks to major advances in agricultural science, including those of the late Norman Borlaug, we have so much abundant food that overeating is now a bigger problem than famine. Hunger is still a major issue for certain parts of the world, but it’s more a logistical issue than a resource issue.

Once food was divorced from famine and survival, it changed the way society approached it. Most people don’t even think about where they’re going to get their next meal. Their main concern is whether it’ll be a tasty meal.

With this critical need met, we can focus more time and energy on other matters. Even before science gave us abundant food, sex and reproduction was usually our second most pressing focus. It’s the other powerful drive that unites us all as a species. As a result, it’s subject to all sorts of taboos and has been central to multiple revolutions.

There’s no question that technology has impacted sexuality every bit as much as it impacted food production. Even advances unrelated to sex, especially anti-biotics, affected various attitudes and norms. However, even with these advances, sex maintains much of its primary function in that it’s still necessary for reproduction.

With that in mind, what happens when that’s no longer the case?

What happens to sex when it’s completely divorced from reproduction?

This isn’t another speculative thought experiment. This process is already unfolding. I would argue that it started on July 25, 1978 when the first baby was born from in vitro fertilization. Since then, over 8 million babies have been born through this technology. That is not a trivial number when we’re dealing with human lives.

Just take a step back to appreciate the implications of these lives. They were all conceived and birthed without sex. In centuries past, this was grounds for a miracle that could serve as a basis for a major religion. These days, it’s so routine that it never makes the news. Most people don’t think about it. It helps that these people are just as healthy and prosperous as those who were conceived with sex.

In the near future, this could change as well. Late last year, our technology went a step further beyond conceiving babies through in vitro fertilization with the birth of the first genetically edited babies in China. Now, it’s not just normal babies being born through this technology. Thanks to tools like CRISPR, children born without sex could be healthier and stronger than those conceived through sex.

Again, that is not a trivial detail. It’s one thing for technology to simply match a natural process, especially one as critical as human reproduction. Once it starts doing it better than nature, then that’s a huge paradigm shift. It might even be a point of no return. Having babies through sex is still a thing, but it’s no longer the most effective way to have healthy, strong children.

While this has generated plenty of controversy around topics like designer babies, there hasn’t been as much discussion about what this means for sex. If sex is no longer the primary method for reproduction, or the safest for that matter, what happens to our society? What happens to centuries of taboos, attitudes, traditions, and gender roles?

It’s difficult to speculate, but some have tried. In a recent article with the BBC, author Henry T. Greely laid out a general timeline. It doesn’t rely entirely on huge leaps in reproductive technology. It simply follows the trends that began with in vitro fertilization. In the interview, these are just a few thoughts he shared.

In 20 to 40 years, most people all over the world with good health coverage will choose to conceive in a lab. Like most things, there will be a fair amount of visceral negative reaction initially, but as time goes on and kids prove not to have two heads and a tail, the public will come not only to tolerate but to prefer reproducing non-sexually.

From a logistic and public health standpoint, this makes sense. Any healthy and prosperous society would want to promote the birth of healthy children in a manner that preserves the health of the mother. With technology like in vitro and CRISPR, it might very well be preferable because it means fewer diseases, lower health care costs, and fewer burdens on parents.

That doesn’t even begin to factor in the impact of more advanced reproductive technologies. With advances like artificial wombs in development, sex wouldn’t just be divorced from reproduction. Reproduction might not require any intimate connection whatsoever. At that point, sex for reproduction is akin to drinking unpasteurized milk.

Will people still have sex at that point? I believe they will. Unless we radically change our bodies all at once, the hardware for sex will still be present. The drive to do it will still be there as well, although some might opt to turn it off if that were an option. Regardless of any lingering attitudes and taboos, there’s no getting around it. Sex still feels good. It’s still a profoundly intimate act with many health benefits.

How people go about it will likely change. A great many taboos about sex stem from its role in reproduction. Much of the stigma surrounding promiscuity and traditional gender roles have a basis in highlighting the importance of sex in the propagation of our society and species. If are reckless about it, then that can spread disease, destabilize families, and create unhealthy environments for children.

Going back to the parallels with food, the same logic was once used to discourage gluttony. For much of human history, we had to be careful with how we consumed our food. If people consumed too much and were reckless with our eating habits, then they were ill-prepared for the next famine that inevitably came.

While sex and reproduction are still very different from consuming food, the influence of technology had a major impact on collective attitudes. We don’t look at people who overeat the same way we look at people who have lots of sex. Both may still draw scorn, but few will worry for the survival of the future of their community if a handful of people overeat.

At the moment, there are very real concerns surrounding falling birth rates and people having less sex than ever before. In some countries, the low birth rates are seen as an outright crisis that has also fueled ongoing debates surrounding immigration. Crisis or not, this situation is adding more urgency to the development of reproductive technologies. That, along with the decline in sex, could hasten this pending divorce.

Once it’s finalized, what form will sex take? It could simply become an act of intimacy or recreation. Humans might ultimately treat it the same way Bonobo monkeys treat it. It’s just an intimate activity that people do. Reproduction never even enters the conversation. People save that for when they want to design their baby.

It could also gain another purpose entirely. Maybe sex becomes less an act of intimacy and more an elaborate handshake, of sorts. It could be seen as a way of establishing trust or differentiating between casual acquaintances and close friends. In that world, friends with benefits are just friends. The benefits are implied by the friendship.

There’s also the very real possibility that people will just lose interest in sex. If there’s no reason to do it and it has no bearing on the growth of a society, then it just might be an afterthought. People might still do it, but those who do would be like the people who still have their own gardens in the backyard. It’s a quaint echo of our past that most have moved past.

These are possibilities. For now, there are no inevitabilities with respect to how we’ll approach sex once it’s no longer necessary for reproduction. It’ll likely be several decades before reproductive technology gets to a point where it’s preferable to sex, both for individuals and societies at large. Until then, this lengthy divorce is already at the early stages. It’s just a matter of how messy it’ll get in the coming years.

Jack Fisher’s Sexy Sunday Thoughts: Good Sexting Edition

woman-looking-cellphone-city-night-footage-088642575_prevstill

Sexting tends to get a bad rap and for good reason. Whether you call it sexting or sexy texting, there’s an inherent risk to transmitting your sexiest data through the dense web of connections that make up the internet. You don’t have to look far to find a sexting scandal, especially if it involves teenagers or a congressperson.

At times, it feels like a full-blown moral panic. Like most moral panics, though, the danger is mostly in the headlines. The truth is often less lurid than we’re led to believe, but on the issue of sexting, I believe there’s an intimacy that goes beyond the scandals.

We live in an increasingly connected world. More and more people build their lives around their smartphones. You can have opinions on whether or not that’s a good thing, but like it or not, this is how people are communicating. This is just one of the many ways they exchange intimacy. It doesn’t have to be scandalous. It can be as sincere is giving someone a gift.

If you’re a decent, consenting adult sharing intimate words or images, then sexting isn’t much different from dirty phone calls. For couples who can’t always be close enough to get frisky, it can provide a level of intimacy that wasn’t possible until recently. For this round of my Sexy Sunday Thoughts, I’d like to celebrate the positive side of sexting. It is there. You just have to look beyond the scandal. Enjoy!

“A good partner knows how to earn an orgasm, but a good lover knows how to give one.”

“If a date is basically an oral exam, then quality lovemaking counts as a A-plus.”

“Genital piercings say as much about the people who like them as they do about the people who get them.”

“Being rich and beautiful will give you options in matters of sex, but it cannot give you prowess.”

“There’s a good chance that you exist because one of your ancestors was a slut.”

“Winning isn’t everything, but it’s considerably harder to get laid when you lose.”

“A mistress is a basically a prostitute that someone convinces to work for free.”

Again, and I wish I didn’t have to make this disclaimer, but sexting does carry risks. Doing it with someone you don’t trust is like having unsafe sex. It can have major consequences for you and all your future lovers. When done right, it can convey intimacy at a distance. With that, I urge any one who sends sexy texts to be safe, smart, and loving.

“My First Sex Robot” A Sexy Short Story (About Sex Robots)

richardson20main

The following is a sexy short story about sex robots, the near future, and what it may do for birthday presents moving forward. I’ve written a lot about the potential and controversies surrounding sex robots, but there will always be room for the sexy stories they inspire. This is just one of them. Enjoy!

“Happy Birthday, son! Hope she gives you the joy you deserve.”

That was the sentimental message that Tom Woolf read on the birthday card his father left him just before leaving on a business trip. While it wasn’t the first time his dad had been gone on his birthday, he’d never left such an unexpected gift. Tom was usually content with a gift card or cash, but his father went the extra mile this year. He might have even gone too far.

“Greetings, Thomas Alford Woolf,” said a strong, feminine voice. “My name is Alice, Version 2.8. I am a Romantix Companions sex robot. I specialize in providing intimate company to teenage boys.”

Tom stood in the middle of his bedroom, his mouth hung open in shock. He blinked a few times in disbelief, wanting to make sure this was real. Near as he could tell, it was no elaborate fantasy. His father had bought him – his teenage son who never had a girlfriend – a sex robot.

It had been waiting for him in some oversized crate that stood next to his bed. As soon as he entered his room, it opened automatically and a very shapely, very naked female figure emerged from it. Tom tried to approach it, but froze halfway. He wasn’t sure whether he should be ecstatic or appalled.

“Um…hi?” was all Tom managed to get out.

“Hello,” Alice replied in her robotic, yet feminine tone. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Tom. I look forward to satisfying your sexual needs.”

Those words were the basis of so many sexual fantasies. Hearing them out loud, even from a robot, sent Tom’s mind and genitals into overdrive. Having just gotten home from school, expecting to enjoy an empty basement for the afternoon, he needed several moments to make sense of it all.

Maybe he shouldn’t have been that surprised. His father, after all, was an executive at Piermann Robotics. Romantix Companions was a subsidy of that company and one his Uncle James joked about every chance he got. He could only imagine what his Uncle would say about this, but he might not have been surprised, either. As Tom approached the stunning female figure, he surmised his father’s twisted logic.

“You’ve really done it now, Dad,” he said distantly. “You’re as eccentric as everyone says you are…just not in the way they think.”

Tom might have been young, but he wasn’t stupid. Everyone thought his dad was off, even before he divorced his first wife. However, he often sold himself as a radical pragmatist. He liked coming up with crazy solutions that made too much sense. Getting his teenage son a sex robot after moving to a new town definitely counted.

It wasn’t like Tom hid his disdain for moving. This new town was over 800 miles from the place he’d grown up. All those friends he’d made at his old school were now in another time zone. Among those friends was Alana Fairchild, a girl he’d been seeing since freshman year. She’d been his first kiss. For a while, Tom thought she’d be his first lover. Then, his dad told him they had to pack up and move because he’d gotten a major promotion at the company.

That was over a year ago and Tom still hadn’t recovered. His new school was decent, but he struggled to make friends. He struggled even more with girls. He and Alana hadn’t parted under friendly terms. After he told her he was moving, she pretended they were never a thing. It broke his heart. Getting over his parents’ divorce was easier. At least that happened before he was a teenager.

His father must have thought, with that quirky brain of his, that a sex robot could help. As it just so happened, he was in a position to get one. Sex robots were still new, but only rich people could afford them. Tom had yet to hear a case of some teenager’s rich father buying him one for his birthday. For all he knew, he was the first.

“Alice,” Tom said, finally breaking the silence. “Just out of curiosity, how much personal info did my father give you?”

“Only as much as necessary,” she responded.

“And that entails what, exactly?” he asked anxiously.

“Nothing he could not readily obtain from personal memory, social media, and basic knowledge of a teenage male. While I cannot divulge my source code, I can confirm that your father customized me to serve you and only you. My physical appearance, my personality, and even my emotional core was designed with you in mind.”

“Your emotional core? So…you have feelings?”

“Of course, I do,” she said, as though it were the most obvious thing in the world.

She smiled at him. It was not some pre-recorded response. Now standing right in front of her, he could sense how real those feelings were.

Alice was definitely not the clunky robots from his father’s youth. She looked very real. If she were to walk down the street, nobody would’ve suspected she was a robot. They just would’ve seen a beautiful young woman with a beautiful feminine figure. Being so close to her, he nervously reached out to touch her. He was so overwhelmed that he trembled.

“It’s okay, Tom. Go on. Touch me,” Alice told him, still smiling.

She gently grasped his wrists and guided his hands onto her face. Much to his amazement, it felt real. There was nothing fake or plastic about it. Alice’s skin felt like real human flesh, warmth and all.

With his hands on her face, Tom scrutinized the rest of her body. In addition to feeling real, her beauty was every bit as real. She looked like a mash-up of every female pop star, porn star, and actress. There wasn’t a single blemish on her skin. She had an incredibly feminine physique, complete with shapely hips and ample breasts.

At the same time, her beauty wasn’t overdone. She had the figure of a model, but the overall looks of some cute girl who lived down the street. Given his father’s connections, she could’ve looked like something out of this world. Tom was glad that wasn’t the case. Alice looking and feeling so life-like made the whole idea easier to process.

Then, there were the more intimate features of Alice’s body. Near as he could tell, her breasts, butt, and genitals were just as real. He’d seen enough porn and R-rated movies to know how they look. However, he was still hesitant to confirm that.

“Your hands are soft,” she said. “Here. Feel my breasts and pussy.”

Alice didn’t hesitate in the slightest. Still gripping her wrists, she guided one hand to her breast and the other between her legs. Tom almost fell over himself. He must have looked foolish because he swore Alice snickered at him.

Despite blushing profusely, he maintained his composure. He also affirmed that Romantix Companions knew the intricacies of female anatomy. Her soft, fleshy breast felt as real as her face. The features of her genitalia were just as life-like. Tom had passed health class in high school. He knew the difference between a vagina, a labia, and a vulva. However, knowing the difference was not the same as feeling the difference.

“Wow, that’s…wow,” he stammered.

“That’s it. Don’t be shy,” said Alice. “I want you to touch my body. It feels good.”

“It feels good?” he asked, not forgetting that she was a robot.

“Yes, it does,” she said with a humored laugh. “My body is laden with tactile sensors. Touching stimulates them. The data they generate is akin to pleasure. Some elicit more data than others.”

She made her point by encouraging more touch. He urged him to squeeze her breast, pinch her nipples, and finger her vagina. Again, it took him by surprise. At the same time, it reassured him that Alice was more than just a sex toy.

Her breasts didn’t just feel real. She reacted to how he fondled them. Her reactions were even stronger with how he touched her pussy. Tom might have known the basic of female anatomy, but he had little direct experience with it. He and his ex-girlfriend never got that far in their relationship. She’d showed him her breasts, but he’d never seen her naked, let alone touched her genitals.

Despite his lack of familiarity, Tom learned quickly from her reactions. Through fondling and fingering, he got a feel for how Alice liked to be touched. He couldn’t be sure whether a woman’s pussy functioned the same, but Alice’s favorable moans gave him certainty. It also revealed that not every feature was purely mechanical.

“Alice, you’re uh…wet,” Tom said, smiling awkwardly.

“I know. That’s because I’m sexually aroused,” said Alice. “That means I’m horny.”

“Yeah, that’s kind of a given,” he laughed, “it’s just…”

“I understand. My synthetic flesh takes some getting used to, but my physiological response is designed to closely mirror that of a biological woman. That means I secrete fluids. That also means I can have real orgasms.”

“Real orgasms?” he said with a raised eyebrow.

“If you consider an orgasm to be a release of pleasure and pleasure to be stimulus and stimulus to be data…then yes, my orgasms are as real.”

Tom removed his hand from her inner thighs. His fingers dripped with viscous fluid. He didn’t know how close it mirrored a woman. For all he knew, there was a miniature tank inside Alice and the fluid was discount baby oil.

He looked at his fingers and then back at Alice. Robot or not, she conveyed an affectionate sentiment. In her, he didn’t just see a robot. He saw someone who genuinely wanted him. Having touched her naked body and affirmed her sentience, Tom wanted her too.

“Now that you know my features, would you like to have sex with me, Tom?” she asked him.

This time, he didn’t hesitate. He was a lonely, horny teenager. Robot or not, a beautiful woman just offered him sex. It was still his birthday, after all. He couldn’t think of a better gift.

“Yes. Yes, I would,” he said, no longer stammering with his words.

“Wonderful!” Alice said with uncanny excitement. “Do you need assistance in getting undressed?”

“No, but I wouldn’t mind. This is uh…my first time, after all.”

“I understand. Don’t worry. My protocols have prepared me for just such a scenario.”

Those words raised all sorts of questions. Did his father specifically program Alice to help him lose his virginity? Did Romantix Companions make robots that specialized in helping inexperienced teenagers? Tom would’ve loved to ponder the implications, but he had more pressing matters before him.

With his heart racing and his hands trembling, he removed his shirt and undid his pants. He was so excited that he fumbled somewhat with his belt. Alice, still smiling with affection and desire, helped him take it off and remove his pants. It was a bit of a challenge with raging semi in his boxers. She still got them off with tact and care. Those preparations she mentioned really showed their worth.

It was still nerve-racking. He almost tripped over his feet when he stepped out of his shoes and socks. Being naked in front of a beautiful woman was a new, exciting experience. If he were making a fool of himself, Alice didn’t hold it against him. As soon as he kicked his clothes aside, she drew him into a naked embrace.

“You’re a handsome young man, Tom,” Alice said to him. “You have a nice endowment, as well.”

“Um…thanks,” Tom said, blushing profusely. “You don’t have to lie.”

“It’s not a lie,” she replied. “My database includes knowledge on the average size of male genitalia. I can confirm that your penis is above average, in terms of length.”

Tom had to stop himself from laughing. As lifelike as Alice looked and felt, she was still a robot…a beautiful, sexy robot that wanted him as much as he wanted her.

In her embrace, naked skin touched naked skin. She wrapped her arms around his neck, her breasts pressing up against his bare chest. His hands still trembling, Tom explored more of her figure, feeling up her hips, thighs, and butt. It felt so warm, her flesh radiating with sensual energy. She was so beautiful and sexy that he was somewhat paralyzed in her grasp.

“Tom, would you like to kiss me?” Alice asked.

“Yes. I’d like that,” said Tom, having regained his focus.

This part felt less daunting. He’d kissed a girl before. It wasn’t too intense, but it was no peck on the cheek. He felt a bit more confident when he leaned in and captured her lips with his.

Even with that confidence, what unfolded after was uncharted territory. Her lips felt as real as her breasts and pussy. Even her tongue had the same consistency as a real woman. He still wasn’t sure on the inner workings, but he was beyond caring.

He was kissing Alice on the lips.

He was grasping her butt with both hands.

He was standing naked with her in his bedroom.

It was a scene right out of a cheesy romance movie and a porno. They kissed, gasped, and explored one another’s naked bodies with their hands. It was so overwhelming that his knees almost buckled. The idea of having sex with a beautiful woman, robot or not, sent his hormones into overdrive.

“Your body feels so nice,” Alice told him.

“So does yours,” he replied. “If you’re ready, I’d like to get in bed with you.”

“I’d like that too, Tom. Please, lead the way.”

She broke the embrace and took his hand, urging him to guide her with her amorous gaze. Tom had never been much of a leader. Even before he moved, he rarely sought that role. It might have been the byproduct of having a naked woman in his arms, but he’d never felt so empowered.

Despite so much nervousness and excitement, he led Alice to his bed. It marked the first time in his life that he wished he’d made it earlier that morning, but she didn’t hold it against him. She willingly and eagerly joined him atop the ruffled sheets.

From there, they kissed again. This time, Tom didn’t have to worry about his legs giving out. He kissed, fondled, and caressed the naked sex robot with more passion. Raging hormones and effective programming intensified their gestures. They were making out like a couple of horny, unsupervised teenagers.

The air grew hot.

The touching became urgent.

Tom was almost fully erect. The only thing that held him back was lingering nervousness. He was about to have sex for the first time. His teenage body wasn’t entirely on the same page as his brain. Alice must have sensed this and ceased the make-out session.

“Tom?” she said, still in his arms.

“Yes, Alice,” he replied, trying to hide his breathlessness.

“I’d like to suck your dick,” she said. “It will ensure that you are fully aroused for intercourse.”

“That’s uh…practical,” Tom said with an awkward grin.

“Is that a yes? I have other methods of stimulating your genitals.”

“That’s okay,” he said quickly. “A blowjob will do.”

“Very well,” she said with a smile and a nod.

She treated it so casually. For a sex robot, giving oral was probably a pre-programmed feature. It was further proof that Alice had been designed with awkward teenagers in mind.

Tom didn’t mind the awkwardness. He just laid on his back, rested his head on a pillow, and watched Alice do her thing. She might have been casual with her words, but she was sensual with her gestures. Like a sex goddess from his wildest dreams, she trailed her lips down his chest, torso, and waist. Every time her lips touched a part of his body, it burned with a special sensation. It both kept his heart racing and relaxed him.

“I think you’ll find I’m very skilled in handling male anatomy,” Alice said upon reaching his cock.

“I trust your capabilities, Alice,” said Tom with a grin.

She smiled back. She almost seemed playful. That might have been part of her programming too. For the both of them, it could only help.

With the same soft lips she’d used to kiss him, Alice took the full length of his cock into her mouth. She was careful, but thorough. Tom grabbed the sheets of his bed and moaned. It felt even better than he thought it would.

“Ohhh fuck!” he gasped.

Having voiced his approval, Alice began sucking. For all he knew, her mouth had a fleet of sensors that scanned every bit of his cock. She knew all the sensitive areas and how to stimulate them. If that were the case, she made good use of that data.

Slowly and steadily, she worked her lips and tongue along the length of his manhood. It wasn’t like the oral sex he’d seen in porn. There was nothing sloppy or crude about it. This was more intimate. Alice wasn’t trying to put on a show. She was trying to maximize his arousal. It didn’t take long for her efforts to bear fruit.

Every sensual motion flooded Tom with blissful sensations. He let out more moans that filled the room. That soft, warm feeling around his member felt amazing. It also get even more blood flowing to his lower body. He didn’t think his dick could get any harder, but it did. It was so intense that he came close to blowing his load prematurely. Thankfully, Alice sensed that and ceased her oral sex at just the right moment.

“Did you enjoy that, Tom?” she asked, still holding his dick with both hands.

“Hell yes! That was fucking great!” Tom exclaimed, his teenage hormones really showing.

“You’re very hard,” Alice said. “Would you like to proceed with full intercourse?”

“I’ll say it again…hell yes,” he said, already short of breath. “For the record, though, I’m uh…inexperienced.”

“I understand. We’ll keep things simple. You can be on top. Don’t worry a thing. You need not hold back or pull out. I want you to enjoy this. I want it to feel good for you.”

“And what about you?” Tom asked.

“I assure you. I’ll enjoy it too. My body may consist of female flesh, but I also have a few supplemental features…including some that bring me pleasure that I’m happy to share.”

Tom could only begin to make sense of that. He was no expert in robots or what gave them pleasure. With Alice, he didn’t need to be. In her eyes, he saw more than just a machine or a sexual outlet.

Could a robot feel real affection for a human?

Could he feel just as much affection for a robot?

Those were heavy questions and his brain did not have enough blood to contemplate it. He and Alice were ready for sex. As far as he was concerned, the line between human and synthetic didn’t exist. Alice rendered it a total afterthought as she let go of his dick and got back on top of him.

“Tom,” she said longingly, “take me.”

That sealed it. Like a reflex, he took her in his arms and kissed her. As their lips were entwined, he rolled her over onto her back. Once under him, she spread her legs and wrapped them around his waist. Following his most basic instincts, he adjusted his hips so that his hardened penis was aligned with her pussy.

Now perfectly positioned, Tom broke the kiss to take in the moment. He was really going to do it. He was going to have sex with this beautiful woman. He locked eyes with her, caressing her face with one hand while holding onto her thigh with another. In anticipation, he expunged the last bit of uncertainty from his mind. With nothing else to hold him back, Tom thrust his hips forward and entered her.

“It’s in!” he gasped. “Alice…I’m inside you.”

“Yes,” Alice said. “I feel it, Tom.”

At first, he just took in the feeling. Hot, wet, tight flesh surrounded his penis. It was ecstasy at its most pure. He didn’t know how it compared to sex with a biological woman, but Tom couldn’t believe it felt much better.

After savoring the moment, he began moving his hips. Back and forth, his member slithered inside her tight folds. He felt her inner muscles tighten every time he thrust into her, adding greater intensity to an already-profound feeling.

Ecstasy merged with desire.

Primal instincts took over.

Robot or not, Tom was making love to Alice. A powerful, basic need was being fulfilled.

“Alice! Ohhh God, Alice!” he grunted. “So hot! So tight!”

“Yes, Tom! Ohhh Yes!” Alice moaned. “We’re…we’re doing it! We’re making love!”

She sounded so human. Looking her in the eye, even as the pace of their sex intensified, he saw more than just a machine. She could’ve been faking. It could’ve been part of a program meant to make him feel like a stud. Every ounce of inner passion told him otherwise.

The way she raked her nails down his back, worked her hips, and tightened her embrace on him conveyed affection. Even if it was just data, how was that different from the chemicals in his brain? This feeling was as real to her as it was to him. If her expression were any indication, it felt just as good.

It led him to focus less on vigorous humping and more on intimate gestures. He slowed the rhythm and kissed her. He treated her the same way he’d treat his dream girl on their prom night. Tom had never been the romantic type, but Alice inspired something in him. It was always there, but never awakened. Being her, making love to her, and feeling their bodies entwined so closely gave romance an incredible appeal.

“Alice…my lover,” Tom said at one point.

He didn’t call her a robot. He didn’t call her human, either. She was something else entirely. What it was had no words, but Tom knew it was real.

As he lost himself in that realization, he soon realized how close he was to climaxing. He fought for a while to hold back, if only to draw out the excitement of his first sexual experience. He doubted he’d lasted as long as an experienced lover, but that didn’t matter. He could work on his sexual stamina later. Right now, he had an onslaught of ecstasy approaching.

“Alice, I’m gonna come! I’m gonna…come soon,” he said, grunting and humping with greater urgency.

“Do it, Tom. Come!” Alice urged. “Ejaculate inside me…my lover.”

Her verbiage was still mechanical, but the sentiment in her voice sent him over the edge. As he crossed his orgasmic threshold, he grabbed onto her hips and delivered a final series of thrusts. Alice, her expression still awash with passion and affection, clung onto his shoulders as if to guide him to ecstasy.

“Ohhh Alice!” he cried out when the feeling it.

The rush that followed set a high bar for sex robots. Tom dug his feet into the bed, threw his head back, and let out a deep moan as orgasmic sensations coursed through his body. He felt his member burn with bliss as he released his load into Alice’s depths. He didn’t know if there was some repository or container for his cum inside her, but the logistics didn’t matter. For his first sexual encounter, it was deeply satisfying.

Even as he achieved his release, Tom sensed Alice reacting as well. She let out a moan that sounded orgasmic. While she said that she could have orgasms, she didn’t say it worked the same as it did for biological women. He was no expert in the female orgasm, but the way her body shuddered under his embrace was a telling sign.

“Inside me…I feel you,” she said through her moans. “You come…and so do I.”

That settled it. She climaxed too. Perhaps those features she mentioned included other methods for achieving orgasm. He’d have to explore those features thoroughly to get the specifics, but for the moment, he just soaked in the feeling.

Along with that feeling came a brilliant afterglow. Still panting heavily, Tom withdrew from her and rolled onto his side. Their naked bodies remained entwined. He shifted his grip from her hips to her face. As he caressed her lovingly, he smiled affectionately at the figure before him. Robot or not, Alice was his first lover.

“Tom, my lover?” said Alice as she smiled back lovingly.

“Yes, Alice?” he replied.

“Are you satisfied with me? Did I fulfill my purpose for you?”

“You definitely did,” Tom said without hesitation. “I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.”

“I am programmed to please my lover. You are my lover. For me, a sex robot of the utmost quality, there is no greater pleasure.”

Daily Sexy Musing: Sexy Daydreaming

Closeup portrait of a Happy young beautiful woman relaxing at ho

We all daydream. Life can be tedious, boring, and uneventful for extended periods. Anyone who has ever had to wait in line at the DMV can attest to that. It’s an inescapable aspect of life and, being the adaptive creatures we are, daydreaming is a common way to get through it. I would even argue it’s universal.

When done right, it can be good for you. There’s even some science to back that up. When it gets sexy, though, things can get complicated and not always in a bad way. For an aspiring erotica/romance writer like me, I often treat sexy daydreaming as typical brainstorming. More than one of my stories has come to me while waiting in line at the grocery store.

Being a man, it can get awkward for reasons I’ve shared before. If you’re a man, sexy daydreaming comes with some unique risks. If it’s too sexy, then you’re going to have a problem that will only get worse if you happen to be wearing extra-tight pants. Even if you’re wearing the loosest pants you have, it’s all too easy to get lost in a sexy daydream.

Those risks aside, I believe the rewards are plenty worth it. Whether you’re single, married, or something in between, a little sexy daydreaming can go a long way towards giving you sexy ideas. Since all great feats start as ideas, I believe they’re worth contemplating. I sincerely hope this Daily Sexy Musing will inspire some seamy ideas. If you have some you’d like to share, please do so in the comments.

It’s starts with a thought. Then, desire enters the picture. They start to mingle, exchanging and entwining images and ideas. The end result is the same.

In my mind, my most intimate fantasies become real.

In my mind, I am unbound by restraints and restrictions.

In my mind, I dare to explore the breadth of my passions.

From the outside, there is nothing fanciful about me. I walk through crowded streets, smile at casual acquaintances, and conduct myself like any others. Nobody gives me a second look. I am just living an ordinary, mundane life. It hardly does justice to the extraordinary thoughts racing through my mind.

In that world, I am something greater.

In that world, my desires are within reach.

In that world, my passions are unlimited.

In that world, nothing holds me back.

I can walk down the same street and draw the utmost awe from total strangers. My abilities and talents are superhuman, capable of carrying me to the heavens and beyond. The love and fulfillment I seek is both real and nearby. It comes to me as quickly as I run towards it. When I embrace it, everything comes together.

My heart races.

My skin burns.

My loins reacts.

These thoughts aren’t real, but that doesn’t matter to my body. From these thoughts, my desires become tangible. In these fantasies, I gain a strength that reality denies me. Real or not, they inspire me as much as they arouse me. I now have something to strive for.

Whether it’s possible does not matter.

Whether it’s achievable matters even less.

These are my ideas from my world. Reality may not yield, but I’ll make sure it bends.

My Top Five Questions/Unresolved Plots For “Rick And Morty” Season 4

rick-and-morty-season-4

Good things are worth waiting for. Great things are worth agonizing over for weeks, months, and years on end. Being an unapologetic romantic, I tend to put love near the top of the list of things that are worth the agony. However, a new season of “Rick and Morty” is definitely in that upper echelon.

Since Season 3 concluded in October 2017, I think it’s safe to say that the line between patience and agony is somewhat blurred. That said, there are plenty of reasons to endure. Last year, it was announced that “Rick and Mortyhad been renewed for 70 episodes. That promised to cut down on the lengthy wait times between seasons that have plagued the show since it gained such a passionate following.

Even after that announcement, news on the status of Season 4 was scarce. We knew it was being worked on, but there was little in terms of certainty and release dates. Finally, it became official. “Rick and Morty” Season 4 is set to debut in November 2019. It still feels like a long wait, but at least we finally know the endpoint.

As someone who loves this show and has written about it more than once, I’m ready to endure the agony of the wait. Knowing there’s a schwifty reward at the end, I’m as excited as many other fans to see how this series and its cosmic eccentricities unfold. After the various events in Season 3, there’s plenty to explore and I’ll be watching with plenty of vodka and pickles in hand.

If you don’t understand that reference, then we’re going to have problems.

While I wait alongside many other anxious fans, I’d like to share a quick list of burning questions I have for Season 4 of “Rick and Morty.” While I don’t doubt many others will emerge along the way, these are the ones that I am eager to see touched on once the show gets going again.

Now, there’s always a risk in getting excited or curious about certain aspects of this show. Both Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have a knack for twisting plots in quirky, yet creative ways. Given the capabilities of someone like Rick Sanchez, which include using a universe as a car battery and defeating an intergalactic tyrant while drunk, there are infinite possibilities in a very literal sense.

Despite these complications, these are my top questions for this most schwifty of shows. If I had a Meeseeks Box, these are the main objectives I’d want addressed.

Meeseeks #1: What Is Evil Morty’s Plan?

This question is probably the most pressing and I know I’m not the only one contemplating it. Evil Morty has been subject to many fan theories ever since he debuted in Season 1’s “Close Encounters of the Rick Kind.” His story is still a mystery, but his devious nature was solidified in Season 3 when he took over the Citadel of Ricks in “The Ricklantis Mix-Up.”

He has been set up as a looming threat, albeit one who hasn’t implemented his ultimate plan. He’s definitely in a position to do so now. Whether that’ll occur in Season 4 or at a future date is not yet clear, but this is one of the show’s most compelling arcs. What exactly made Evil Morty evil? What are the extent of his capabilities? What’s his connection to Rick C-137, if any?

There are a lot of questions surrounding Evil Morty, but it was made clear in “The Ricklantis Mix-Up” that he has an agenda and it’s only a matter of time before it spreads across the multiverse. It’s one of those stories that has the potential to shake up the entire “Rick and Morty” multiverse, which is why any mention of Evil Morty will be subject to greater scrutiny.

Meeseeks #2: Will We Learn Anything About Diane Sanchez?

Another unresolved and largely unexplored aspect of “Rick and Morty” is the story of Diane Sanchez, Rick’s ex-wife and Beth’s mother. She has been mentioned multiple times, but details about her are scarce and even misleading, as shown in “The Rickshank Redemption.”

Even without those details, Diane has already had an impact. From the very first episode, she is established as someone who has impacted the Sanchez family in major ways. Beth has fond memories of her. While Rick’s views on love aren’t exactly romantic, she clearly influenced him as well.

Whatever happened to Diane could be a major factor in what has driven Rick in the past. She could also be an influence in what drives him in the future, especially if it ties into the ongoing plot with Evil Morty. While it’s still possible that Diane remains one of those esoteric characters who never gets fleshed out, more details could help further add to the web of eccentricities that is Rick Sanchez.

Meeseeks #3: How Will The Family Dynamics Change With Jerry And Beth Getting Back Together?

One of the biggest shake-ups in Season 3 was the disillusion of Beth and Jerry’s marriage. It came as a direct result of the events of “The Rickshank Redemption.” However, this shake-up ultimately came full-circle by the season finale in “The Rickchurian Mortydate” when Beth welcomed Jerry back into the family.

It was a significant upheaval in the Smith family, but Jerry’s return may not be the end of it. Even at their most sentimental, Beth and Jerry’s relationship has never been stable. The subsequent revelations about Beth in “The ABC’s Of Beth” only adds to those complications. Add Rick, Morty, and even Summers’ various antics to the mix and there’s still plenty of family chaos to go around.

Jerry being back doesn’t resolve that fact that he’s still inept, unemployed, and often an obstacle for Rick. It also doesn’t resolve Beth’s own personal issues, the least of which involves her heavy wine consumption. Their chaotic relationship has often impacted Summer, Morty, and Rick on many levels and even if things are better, it’s still going to affect them.

Jerry made some major strides in Season 3. He confronted some of his shortcomings and inadequacies. It was part of what helped him get back with Beth. He’ll never be as capable as Rick, but his ability to grow has opened new doors for him and Beth. Hopefully, Season 4 will give him a chance to grow more, if only to challenge Rick.

Meeseeks #4: How Will Morty’s Character Evolve?

Morty is another one of those characters who underwent some subtle, but significant changes in Season 3. He’s no longer the wide-eyed, deer-in-the-headlights teenager who exists only to be overwhelmed by Rick’s antics. He’s shown that he can be just as capable, whether it’s helping his mom work one of Rick’s gadgets or disarming neutrino bombs.

At the same time, however, Season 3 revealed and darker undercurrent to Morty. “Rest and Ricklaxation” established that Morty can be pretty devious when he is purged of his shortcomings. It helped reveal that it’s very possible or a version of Morty to become evil and the one that was introduced in Season 1 wasn’t just an anomaly.

Whereas Rick is very exceedingly self-aware, often to the point of misanthropy, Morty seems more inclined to cross lines and become something else. When he gets a taste of power, be it from a disembodied arm or a high-tech suit that allows him to enjoy the Purge, it tends to corrupt him.

Does this mean Morty is destined to walk a darker path? Rick has noted a number of times that a Morty that’s full of himself can be dangerous. Hopefully, Season 4 can provide more insight.

Meeseeks #5: Will We Get Another Interdimensional Cable Or More Morty’s Mind Blowers?

This isn’t so much a question about the plot as it is a celebration of the eclectic humor of “Rick and Morty.” Anyone who wants a true understanding of what makes this show so fun need only watch the two episodes of Interdimensional Cable and Morty’s Mind Blowers.

The plots surrounding these episodes are usually asides. The main draw are the wild and quirky shows and memories that often stem from improvised lines by Justin Roiland. It’s basically unfiltered humor that’s brought to life through Rick Sanchez’s eccentric genius. Whether it takes the form of cable channels from other dimensions or memories purged from Morty’s mind, it’s a beautiful thing.

The only question is whether Season 4 will contain an episode of this nature. It doesn’t have to be part of some larger narrative. It can just be a one-off that’s built for laughs and crude jokes. It can be about salesmen with ants in their eyes or how to make a plumbus. As long as it delivers some memorable memes to go along with Pickle Rick, I’ll be happy.

This is just a basic wish list for now. There’s plenty more I hope to see in future episodes of “Rick and Morty.” There are probably things I didn’t know I wanted that this show will reveal. Honestly, who else knew they wanted to see Rick turn himself into a pickle? That’s just how crazy/fun/obscene a show like “Rick and Morty” can be.

Until then, we can only wait and agonize about the scwhiftiness to come. Wubba lubba dub dub!

Jack Fisher’s Weekly Quick Pick Comic: House of X #2

What would you do if you could live your entire life over again with all the memories of your previous life? What if you could do that more than once and come into the world with knowledge and experience equivalent to multiple lives? Movies like “Groundhog Day” and “Edge of Tomorrow” attempted to answer that question in part. Jonathan Hickman tries to answer that question more fully in “House of X #2.”

As someone who has been reading comics for a sizable chunk of his life, I know how rare it is to see a single issue come along that both redefines a character and explores a host of new, exciting concepts. I thought “House of X #1” was one of those once-in-a-decade comics that wasn’t going to be matched for a good long while. I was wrong.

I’m glad I was wrong too because what Hickman accomplishes in “House of X #2” is as remarkable as it is engaging. It doesn’t just give context to the previous events that were revealed in both “House of X #1” and “Powers of X #1.” It completely redefines the entire history of the X-Men.

For a series that includes multiple time travel plots and multiple dystopian timelines, that’s quite an accomplishment. It’s how Hickman and artist Pepe Larraz go about it that makes “House of X #2” so impactful. It begins and ends with how the story rewrites the role of Moira MacTaggart.

It’s not hyperbole to say that this single issue makes Moira the most important character in the history of the X-Men, the mutant race, and their future. For a character who was either a love interest for Charles Xavier or a side-character who often got overshadowed by other mutants, that’s quite an accomplishment.

This is not the same Moira from the “X-Men First Class” movie. This version of Moira is a mutant with a very unique power. It doesn’t involve shooting lasers out of her eyes, reading minds, or shape-shifting. Her power is basically a more complete version of the abilities that Bill Murray and Tom Cruise enjoyed in the aforementioned movies.

In essence, Moira lives her entire life, dies, and is reborn with all her memories and experiences intact. It’s not restricted to a single day. It’s not indefinite, either. Like an old Mario game, she has a limit to the number of lives she can live. What she does with them is up to her. Knowing what happens to mutants, humans, the X-Men, and Charles Xavier informs her choices.

It raises many profound questions about Moira’s role in the history of the X-Men and the Marvel universe in general. It also expands on how Moira came to influence the events of “House of X #1” and “Powers of X #1.”

The story, itself, is built around the multiple lives that Moira has lived. I won’t spoil the details, since this is one of those comics that needs to be read to appreciate the impact. I’ll simply confirm that she tries multiple approaches to averting yet another dystopian future for the X-Men, mutants, and humanity as a whole.

Some of those approaches involve working with Charles Xavier. Others involve actively opposing him. In all the lives leading up to her tenth, there are a few common themes. When two competing species inhabit the same world, there’s bound to be conflict. Efforts to escape or preemptively win that conflict rarely pan out.

Like Phil Connors constantly waking up on Groundhog Day, no matter what he does, Moira keeps hitting a proverbial wall. No matter what she attempts, there doesn’t seem to be a way around this conflict. It’s not until her 10th life that she comes to the realization that leads to “House of X #1.”

It’s hard to overstate how much “House of X #2” changes the overall context of the X-Men comic. Suddenly, Moira MacTaggart is the most influential character in the history of the X-Men, mutants, and everything in between. What she does, why she does it, and how she goes about it changes how we see the past, as well as the present.

The benefits of hindsight make it seem simple, but it isn’t. It also raises a great many questions. If Moira has all this knowledge, why didn’t she use it to achieve more? What made her choose the path that led to the most recent events for the X-Men and the Marvel universe, as a whole? Most of these questions go unanswered, but there are some telling clues that add even more intrigue.

Hickman and Larraz achieve something truly uncanny with “House of X #2.” I know I said the same thing about “House of X #1,” but that comic now has a greater meaning thanks to this one. The stakes for every other X-Men story that unfolds after this has a new meaning as well. Few comics can boast that kind of impact without being written by Jack Kirby, but “House of X #2” is definitely one of them.

Even for those unfamiliar with the convoluted history of the X-Men can appreciate the concepts this comic explores. We see someone who has lived multiple lives, cursed with knowing how things play out for those she cares for. She wants to make that life better for herself and the world as a whole. She’s in a unique position to pursue that change, but it’s fraught with more complications than any “Groundhog Day” rip-off could convey.

Daily Sexy Musing: Hot Tub Sexy Time

adobestock_184066936-1080x675

I don’t care who you, where you come from, or what you believe about human nature. A dip in a hot tub feels fantastic. You could be having an awful day or even a string of awful days. If you get a chance to submerge yourself in the sweet bubbly warmth of a hot tub, then your day isn’t going to feel so bad.

I can personally attest to the therapeutic effects of hot tubs. I can also attest to the inherent sexiness they offer. That’s not just because hot tubs have inspired both pornos and time travel movies. By design, they help relax us. Naturally, we’re less uptight when we’re relaxed. We’re more open to all things intimate and sexy. That’s the power of a good hot tub.

It also helps that being in a hot tub usually requires that people not be fully clothed. That certainly helps. While getting frisky in a hot tub is prone to certain complications, there’s no denying its ability to inspire sexy feelings in us all. I’ve witnessed it in others. While I never got a chance to enjoy a hot tub privately with my ex-girlfriends, it’s still a sexy effort worth striving for.

Not everyone has access to a hot tub. Even fewer have access to one they can enjoy in private with a special someone. However, I feel that only adds to its appeal. Whether you’re a romance fan or not, you can find something sexy about a good dip in a hot tub. If not, I hope this Daily Sexy Musing helps convince you. Enjoy!

The jets turn on.

The motor starts humming.

The bubbles start forming.

The steam starts rising.

It feels like the perfect reward for an arduous journey, an act of mercy granted to us for all our efforts. We work hard and struggle harder, building a life for each other and a love worthy of such strife. Finally, we taste the fruits of our labor. However, this particular fruit can only be enjoyed together.

We ditch our clothes.

We forget our swimsuits.

We jump in together.

We soak in this sweet, succulent reward.

Immediately, our naked bodies are surrounded by the bubbling water. It’s like being embraced by utter contentment in liquid form. Its magic heals and soothes away the strains and rigors that dampened our spirits. A wave of wonderous relaxation comes over us. Through it, our bodies and spirits are born anew.

In this therapeutic domain, we still find each other. Through the bubbling water, my flesh seeks yours. Unburdened and unencumbered, we answer the call. We find one another, daring to pursue even greater bliss. Our wet skin is so smooth, invigorated and energized by this feeling. We let it guide our passion and the fruit only gets sweeter.

We share a hot kiss.

We exchange a hot gesture.

We caress our hot flesh.

Everything is so hot and lively. In this steamy domain, our passions are ignited while our souls are soothed. What could be more relaxing?

Why Heaven Is As Unjust As Hell

2016403_univ_lsr_xl

There are many aspects of religion that warrant criticism. I’ve certainly levied a few, from how it intensifies inequality to how it fosters a form of morality akin to the mafia. I always try to preface those criticism by acknowledging that most religious people are decent, honorable human beings. I also have close relatives who are religious and that doesn’t detract from their character whatsoever.

Even with that in mind, I believe that religion deserves a special kind of scrutiny. It’s a huge influence on people, society, and also government. Something that influential deserves no immunity, especially when certain tenants have serious implications. I’ve pointed out how the concept of Hell is rendered moot by boredom and undermines pro-life ideology. Now, I’m going to give similar scrutiny to the concept of Heaven.

While the problem of Hell and eternal punishment for finite transgressions have been discussed by people far smarter than I’ll ever be, there are far less criticisms levied against Heaven. That makes sense. Heaven, whatever form it takes, is one of those ideas that’s pleasant to contemplate. Even if you’re an atheist, imaging a blissful afterlife won’t inspire dread or outrage.

However, I would argue that the concept of Heaven is as immoral and unjust as Hell. While I don’t deny infinite torture is more deplorable than infinite bliss, I submit that the implications are just as damning, if that’s not too loaded a term.

Most people know the basics of Heaven. Their particular religion, sect, or denomination might not call it that, but the premise is simple. Those who are righteous, moral, and pious to a particular standard, as determined by a deity or doctrine, are rewarded after death with passage to an eternal paradise.

What makes this place paradise is often vague. Some see it as a place without suffering or sin. Others see it as a place of endless indulgence. Whereas Hell is the ultimate punishment, Heaven is the ultimate reward. Whatever form that reward takes, the attributes that make it unjust are the same.

To illustrate, consider two individuals who lived good lives. One is just a typical, every-day adherent. Most of us know someone like them. They’re kind, decent, and upstanding. They live their lives ethically and responsibly. They go to whatever church, temple, or mosque their religion requires. They play by the rules and do all the right things, but that’s it. They don’t have much impact beyond their community.

Then, consider an individual like Dr. Norman Borlaug. I’ve mentioned him before, but the good this man did for the world is worth belaboring. This isn’t just a man who lived a good, upstanding life. This is a man who saved millions of lives because of the work he did. His contributions to the green revolution are a big reason why countless people don’t go hungry at night.

The face of a real life hero.

If ever there was an individual who deserved a reward in the afterlife, it’s Norman Borlaug. Even those of differing faiths wouldn’t argue that a man like him deserves to go to a place like Heaven. That’s where the chief problem of Heaven comes in and, much like Hell, it has to do with its eternal nature.

Whenever eternity enters the equation, absurdities usually follow. In the case of Heaven, the implication is that a man like Norman Borlaug gets the same reward as the other person who didn’t save a billion lives and win a Nobel Prize. There’s nothing extra for someone who really goes the extra mile for humanity. With eternity, that’s just not possible.

It’s not unlike a group project where one person does most of the work, but everyone still gets the same grade. Most reasonable people would call that unfair. Human beings, like other animals, have an innate sense of fairness. When a reward or punishment is exceedingly disproportionate, it tends to cause distress, guilt, and resentment.

With Heaven, however, people make an exception. There’s no uneasiness or distress about someone like Norman Borlaug getting the same reward as some random person who just went to church every Sunday. Some of that might be due to an inability to process concepts like eternity, but I think the problem runs deeper than that.

On top of the reward being disproportionate, there’s also the issue of the standards for determining those who get it. For those who adhere to a dogmatic faith, including those of the Abrahamic traditions, it doesn’t matter how many lives men like Norman Borlaug save. It also doesn’t matter how little the typical adherent does. What matters, ultimately, is whether they believe the tenants of the faith.

It’s an issue that also comes up when discussing problem of Hell. Within the core of these theologies, the works they do in life don’t matter as much as what they believe. If they die believing the right deities for the right reason, then that’s enough. They get to go to Heaven. If they’re wrong, yet still do all sorts of objective good, then they still go to Hell to face eternal torment.

That’s not just unfair. That’s infinitely unjust. It’s infinitely immoral. It completely devalues the action, intentions, and sincerity of those doing their best to live their lives. If the only thing that matters in the end is what deity and doctrine they believe, then where’s the incentive to make life worth living for those alive today and those yet to be born?

It still gets worse than that. What about those who lived in a different time and place in which they only knew the particular theology of their community? There are still places in the world that violently resist any intrusion or visitation from the outside world. These people love their families and friends as much as anyone. Are they still denied eternal bliss and doomed to eternal suffering?

If even one person who lived a good, honorable life is condemned to infinite suffering because of what they believe, then that, by default, is infinitely unjust. By the same token, one person who gains infinite bliss just because of what they believe and nothing more, then that is every bit as unjust.

Heaven may be a pleasant, comforting thought for most people. It offers a tantalizing promise for adherents and their loved ones that death is not the end. There’s a better existence waiting for everyone, but only if they believe a certain set of tenants in accord with a specific deity. Having dealt with the death of close loved ones, I understand why that’s so appealing.

At the same time, it’s difficult to get around the problems that arise when infinite concepts are applied to finite lives. Regardless of what deity you believe, the very concept of eternal rewards alongside eternal punishments ensure that divine justice can only ever be infinitely unjust.
