Why “The Boys” Is The Ultimate Superhero Satire

amazon-prime-the-boys-tv-show

In the history of superhero media, 2019 will likely go down as one of the greatest years of all time. This year included three superhero movies that grossed over a billion dollars, including the first female-led superhero movie to gross a billion dollars and one that became the highest grossing movie of all time. Whatever the future holds for the genre, there’s no doubt that 2019 will go down as a banner year.

Regardless of what the James Camerons of the world think, superheroes have made their mark on the pop culture landscape. They’ll likely keep making their mark for years to come, especially after Marvel’s latest announcements for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, in the same year that superhero media achieved some of its greatest success, something comes along to utterly deconstruct it.

Whereas a movie like “Avengers Endgame” showed us just how great superheroes can be, a TV show like “The Boys” shows us just how depraved they can be. Being a comic book fan long before this golden age of superheroes, I already knew that. I followed the original comics when they came out in the mid-2000s. Now, thanks to a new TV show, everyone can experience the story that gave superheroes the ultimate gut punch.

Literally.

I’m not going to lie. I was genuinely surprised when I heard Amazon Prime was going to make this show. This is not the kind of story that you can turn into a Disney-approved, PG-13 spectacle for mass consumption. In anything, “The Boys” goes out of its way to explore the kinds of things that would make the censors at Disney and the MPAA throw up.

This is a story that does not hide the brutal violence, intense trauma, and unchecked hedonism that often seems unavoidable in the context of the narrative. Writer and co-creator, Garth Ennis, has a long history of embracing those darker elements of the genre. He did it with “Preacher” and his run on “The Punisher.” With “The Boys,” he took it to another level and beyond.

The world of “The Boys” is not unlike the early days of the MCU. The over-arching story tries to incorporate the fanciful ideals of superheroes into a real-world context. It doesn’t use fictional cities like Metropolis or Gotham. It doesn’t ignore how superheroes would affect society, government, or the economy. The many flaws of the real world are just as relevant in this world.

As are the sentiments about reality, in general.

From here, “The Boys” doesn’t necessarily portray a worst-case scenario for superheroes, but it comes pretty damn close. The “heroes” of this world are the Seven. They include the likes of Homelander, Black Noir, Queen Maeve, A-Train, and the Deep. They’re basically derivations of the Justice League, but in terms of heroic ideals, these characters have none of that.

The Seven conduct themselves as superheroes for the masses. They’re admired, respected, and idolized by many, just like their counterparts in the MCU. However, that heroic zeal is both a lie and a scam. Their entire image is built around a marketing ploy, courtesy of Vought American Consolidated, a defense contractor who incorporates superheroes into their arsenal.

Trust me. It’s even more corrupt than it sounds.

With that corruption comes greed, treachery, violence, and depravity the likes of which Batman would find too grim. These heroes basically get to smile for the cameras, enjoy the benefits of celebrity, and still conduct themselves as self-serving narcissist behind the scene. They can do whatever they want, get away with it, and still be beloved. It’s a recipe for all sorts of disasters.

On top of that, some of these characters are outright psychopaths. Homelander is a mentally unstable sadist who commits many vile acts throughout the comics, including rape. The TV show captures only a fraction of his depravity, but it’s more than enough to highlight the underlying message of “The Boys” and why it’s such a powerful story.

In essence, “The Boys” is the ultimate satire of the superhero genre. It’s entire narrative is built around exploring, exposing, and denigrating the ideals on which all superhero media is built upon. It’s not done for humor or comedic effect, either. The theme of “The Boys” is dead serious in showing how a world with superheroes becomes so depraved.

This is where the Boys themselves come in. They include Billy Butcher, Frenchie, Mother’s Milk, the Female, and Hughie. They both witness and directly experience the breadth of the Seven’s corruption. They take it upon themselves to expose these heroes for who they are.

However, their motivations aren’t entirely heroic. These characters often come off every bit as damaged, petty, and vindictive as the heroes they actively oppose. They don’t stick to high ideals, either. The Boys are brutal, albeit in a more focused and pragmatic sense.

It gets ugly.

It gets violent.

It gets downright traumatic.

It also gets the damn point across.

If “The Boys” has a unifying message that unites both the comics and the TV shows, it’s that superheroes can only ever make things worse in the long run. That ideal of a perfectly altruistic savior in the mold of Superman just doesn’t exist and wanting it to exist can be downright dangerous.

The people behind the scenes with the Seven feed into that. The government, big corporations, and the media glorify these heroes because the people latch onto them. They want these heroes to be the idealized figures that they read about in comics and see in blockbuster movies. They buy into it and both the Seven and the organizations that manage them keep selling it.

It’s a self-reinforcing cycle that only amplifies the corruption. The Boys dare to battle that corruption, but with the understanding they’re fighting a losing battle. They can attack, expose, and frustrate these superpowered sociopaths all they want. They’re never going to destroy those rosy ideals on which the entire genre is build upon. At most, they can just make them pay a price for their egregious misdeeds.

It’s hardly proportional to the many atrocities the Seven commits, but that’s kind of the point. These are superpowered beings who can only be hurt so much, even by other superheroes. The Boys can never punish them in a way that feels equitable, compared to the injustices the Seven inflict. That doesn’t stop them from making an effort and making it better than most would expect.

The right tool for the right job.

How they go about this and how the Seven reacts is a long, tortured story that has many shocking moments that are not for kids or the faint of heart. The trailer for the TV show offers a hint of that, but there are scenes from the comics that even the lenient censors of Amazon Prime wouldn’t dare put on film. I won’t spoil the bloody details, but if you have the stomach, I highly recommend you check out the comics.

More than anything else, the “The Boys” is a brutal reminder that the ideals behind superheroes are probably the most fanciful part of the genre. In a real world full of corruption and collateral damage, superheroes can be far more dangerous than the threats they confront. It’s almost impossible to be a superhero without becoming a self-absorbed asshole to some extent.

Even the Boys, who actively battle the superheroes that fuel this fantasy, never come off as entirely altruistic. They’re simply more respectable and less narcissistic. In that dynamic, nobody can ever come off as truly heroic. There’s just too much room for corruption and ego.

While “The Boys” wasn’t the first comic to satirize superheroes, it’s definitely the most complete. “Watchmen” may get more praise and respect, but even in that story, the heroes still try to act like heroes in their own perverse way. What characters like Ozymandias and Rorschach do is framed as something heroic, even if it gets violent and brutal. There’s none of that with “The Boys.”

In an ideal world, even assholes will find a way to be heroic under the right circumstances. Tony Stark proved that in “Avengers Endgame.” However, in the world of “The Boys,” there’s no such thing as right circumstances. If anything, the entire superhero genre has it ass-backwards. Heroes will inevitably find a way to become assholes and if nobody stops them, then they’ll just push their assholery to new heights.

The Boys” is a unique comic in its own right, but the TV adaptation is coming along at just the right time. I would even argue that this kind of satire is necessary in the current cultural landscape. We need something like this to remind us that the ideals of superheroes are still ideals. Like most things in the real world, ideals tend to crumble when subjected to scrutiny.

At a time when people are consuming the ideals of superheroes at an unprecedented level, it’s important to maintain a sense of perspective about the genre. A satire like “The Boys” may never have the same impact as anything from the MCU, but it’s still a story worth telling, if only to remind us that great power can also breed greater assholes.

Jack Fisher’s Sexy Sunday Thoughts: Sexy Tickle Fight Edition

601d0c09151d3aa8f39d4f9505a52b55

As kids, tickling is just simple, innocent fun. It’s an easy way to get others to smile without having to beg parents for candy. As adults, however, it takes on a much more mature undertone. Sometimes, it’s just innocent play between lovers. It can be done in a completely non-sexual way and that’s fine. Some, like myself, prefer a more intimate kind of tickling.

I know I prefer it was something my ex-girlfriend and I regularly enjoyed while we were together. It didn’t matter if we were watching a movie, hanging out, or just felt bored. We’d get a little closer, exchange a few intimate gestures, and then the tickle fight commenced. Some became quite epic, but even when they didn’t result in anything sexy, it was fun.

It’s when things get sexy that tickle fights get really interesting. There is some real science behind tickling and there are some people who are very turned on by it. It can be a precursor to foreplay. There are times when the line between playfulness and sexiness blurs. That’s when things can get sweet, sexy, and fun. That’s a great combination.

Tickling is one of those rare gestures that kids and adults like can appreciate, albeit for very different reasons. It’s the kind of fun that can be both innocent and kinky, depending on how you go about it. Not many things have that kind of range. It certainly warrants acknowledgement with my Sexy Sunday Thoughts. Enjoy!

“When you think about it, piety is basically a divinity fetish.”

“Valuing the journey over the destination is challenging for those attempting to arrange a threesome.”

“An awkward erection is poetic way for a man’s body to give him the finger.”

“A small part of a mother’s love for her child stems from the joy that came from the effort to make them.”

“These days, having a kink requires equal amounts of imagination, honesty, and an ability to delete browsing history.”

“Being a masochist must really confuse bullies.”

“Underwear indirectly implies that we’re afraid to venture into the world without at least two layers of fabric to protect our genitals.”

I hope that got everyone feeling a little friskier. Regardless of age, maturity, or orientation, we all need a little laughter and joy in our lives. Tickling is one of the easiest ways to achieve that. If you can share it with a lover, then that makes it even better. If that tickling leads to something sexier, then that’s just an exceedingly sweet bonus.

How I Lost And Regained My Self-Esteem

depressed-guy

Self-esteem is one of those concepts that has gained a mixed reputation in recent years. To some extent, that reputation is well-earned. We’ve all dealt with people with an inflated ego. Being around them for extended periods can range from frustrating to intolerable. Some have even called the glut of self-esteem and its narcissistic byproducts an epidemic.

Personally, I think that claim is overly hyperbolic. However, I understand the popular sentiment. I was a kid around the time the cracks in the the self-esteem movement really started to show. I sat through many of those classes that espoused the value of self-esteem. I saw all those PSA’s after popular kids shows encouraging kids to believe in themselves no matter what. Even by kid standards, I thought they were cheesy.

At the same time, I was dealing with a lot of personal issues and my self-esteem was often a big part of those issues. I went through periods of my young life when I thought I could do anything. I went through other periods where I thought was a worthless waste of flesh. Going through the rigors of puberty, enduring high school, and dealing with some less-than-ideal health situations certainly didn’t help.

It was worse than this.

In short, I had a lot of self-esteem as a kid. I really believed in myself and I fought hard to affirm that belief. Then, as I became a teenager, I lost my self-esteem. I became a miserable, self-loathing hunk of living misery. I don’t know how I could’ve felt worse about myself. Then, as an adult, I got my self-esteem back and I haven’t let go over it since.

It was a roller coaster ride, to say the least. It wasn’t always a smooth ride and I found many ways to make it harder for myself. The older I get, the more I realize how misguided I was and how much of it was my own doing. I like to think I’ve learned form it. I also think the experience is worth sharing. Hopefully, others can relate. Perhaps, those who struggled like I did can glean lessons I wish I’d learned earlier.

Before I get into the details of this story, I want to make one thing clear. I don’t blame the self-esteem movement that has become so popular to bash.

I don’t blame the schools, either. I grew up in an area where the schools were great, for the most part. By almost any measure, I was lucky. I got an education that many kids in America would envy.

I sure as hell won’t blame my parents and family. In fact, they’re the heroes of this story. They put up with me at times when I was downright insufferable. My mother, my father, and my siblings did all the right things for a kid like me. I’m lucky they were there because things could’ve turned out way worse for me and I have nobody to blame but myself.

To understand where my self-esteem issues began, it’s necessary to understand the kind of kid I was growing up. For the most part, I was pretty normal. However, if there was one trait that set me apart from the other kids, it was how uptight I was.

By that, I don’t just mean I was stressed out by tests and homework. I was the kind of kid who would get anxious and upset if a school bus was late. I always had to be on time. I always had to get things done early. I didn’t procrastinate on anything. That may sound like a useful trait, but the way I went about it made it a liability.

Between being so uptight with timing, I was just as uptight when it came to grades. Anything less than a perfect score was disappointing. I had this mentality where there were only A’s and F’s and nothing in between. Again, this is not something my parents, teachers, or counselors imposed on me. This is something I did to myself.

I held myself to a high standard. I bought into the idea that just believing in yourself was enough to achieve anything. I’d read it in superhero comics. I’d seen it in cartoons. I genuinely believed I was smart and capable at a level that grossly exceeded my actual abilities. Call it inflated self-esteem, if you want. The end result was the same. When you set impossible standards, you set yourself up for inevitable failure.

My parents warned me, as did my siblings and friends. Everybody warned me that I was being too hard on myself. In hindsight, I should’ve listened. I really wish I had because it set me up for some very difficult teen years.

On top of that, this is around the same time I developed a terrible acne problem that plagued me into my 20s. I also developed asthma that made basic exercise or just a typical gym class feel like prolonged torture so on top of having an acne-ridden face, I was also out of shape. It made me extremely self-conscious of my looks and when you’re ready uptight, that’s a bad combination.

Altogether, this hit my self-esteem the same way a flame-thrower hit a wounded fly. I didn’t just lose my confidence. For a while, my sense of self-worth was hanging by the thinnest of threads. It got to a point where I just started randomly insulting myself. It wasn’t a funny kind of self-deprecation, either. My parents and siblings got downright angry with me whenever I did it, but that rarely dissuaded me.

It got bad. For a while, I had a hard time believing it would get much better. I honestly thought my self-esteem was gone and I was destined to be a walking ball of misery. Then, something remarkable happened.

It wasn’t some incredible epiphany, either. As soon as I graduated high school and entered the adult world, I found a new kind of confidence. It didn’t happen overnight, but there was definitely a transition. It started in college, but it only blossomed as I got older and gained more life experience.

I think the catalyst for that change came when I got my first taste of independence. In college, my life wasn’t so micromanaged. I could actually set my own schedule, plan my own day, and make my own choices. Granted, it wasn’t total freedom. I was going to college on my parents’ dollar. However, compared to high school, it was like getting paroled.

In this environment, I learned something critical that I hadn’t learned in high school or from cheesy after school specials. To have self-esteem, it’s not enough to just believe in yourself. You have to work for it. You have to earn that feeling of accomplishment. It’s not easy, but it’s worth doing and by achieving it, you’re going to feel better about yourself, by default.

It also helped that I became much less uptight in college. To some extent, I do blame some of the messages I got in high school. I had been under the impression that if I didn’t get perfect grades in high school, then I would never go to college and I would die poor and lonely. Even if that impression was misguided, it was such a relief to find out my failures in high school did not define me.

That Spanish test I failed in my sophomore year did not ruin my future.

That assignment I botched in my physics class during my Junior year did not decide my fate.

That may not sound like a big deal to most people, but for someone who was as uptight as me, it was eye-opening. It caused me to re-evaluate my approach to personal standards, real achievement, and how I graded myself.

Suddenly, my personal world didn’t seem so dire. There was some room for error. I could make mistakes, learn from them, and be better for it. To my younger self, that concept might as well have been an alien language. I didn’t care about the process. I cared only for the result. I had to learn that appreciating the process helped me work towards those results.

This didn’t just extend to college. It also helped with my personal life and my health. In college, I got my first girlfriend. I actually developed a social life where I made friends, went to parties, and hung out with people. I was still socially awkward. To this day, I’m still behind the curve in that respect. However, I’m light-years ahead of where I was in my youth.

Things really picked up when I started taking care of myself. Instead of just laying around, feeling sorry for myself, I started exercising. I got serious about treating my acne. I sank most of my savings into fixing my eyesight so that I didn’t have to wear thick glasses anymore. In short, I invested in myself. Like any good investment, it didn’t pay off immediately. Over time, though, the results compounded.

Bit by bit, my self-esteem returned. I had to work for it. Whether it was developing better study skills or getting into shape, I actually had to get up in the morning and make a concerted effort. I know it sounds like common sense, but to my younger self, it seemed so hopeless. If I couldn’t achieve everything all at once, then why bother? It was a terrible mindset and one that held me back.

Today, I have the confidence and self-esteem to share this story. I can even look back on those difficult times and laugh at how I acted. Some close family members will even laugh with me, even though I did not make things easy for them. They definitely did their part. They helped keep me from falling too deep into despair. It just took me a while to do my part, as well.

It would be easy for me to make excuses for my struggles. I could’ve blamed the self-esteem movement, misguided teachers, and after school specials that aired in between my favorite cartoon. In the end, they would still be empty. I still made the choices that made me miserable.

I set myself for disappointment and frustration. Nobody was going to come along and fix everything for me. Nothing was going to resolve itself, just by hoping for the best. In the end, my self-esteem was like any other skill or challenge. I had to apply myself. I had to work hard to earn the results I sought. They were hard lessons to learn, but they were worth learning.

I just wished I’d learned them sooner.

Daily Sexy Musings: Skilled Hands

tumblr_nakbfltsev1r7eta3o1_500

There are many sexy parts of the human body. Some are inherently more sexy than others, but everyone has their preferences when it comes to which parts they admire. I certainly have my favorites. Being a healthy straight male, I think most can surmise which body parts I most admire. However, there are some parts that I feel don’t get the attention or respect they deserves.

Those parts are our hands. I’ll give everyone a second to finish rolling their eyes, but I believe there’s a case to be made for hands being the most under-appreciated tool in our intimate arsenal. Now, I don’t deny that hands aren’t the first body part that gets our attention when we see someone attractive. It might not even be the fifth. However, it’s utility in all things sexy is beyond dispute.

In many cases, our first romantic gesture involves touch. Whether it’s holding hands or heavy petting, we use our hands to convey all sorts of intimacy. Most people know how to caress and fondle. It’s as natural as breathing for thinking, emotional creatures. It only gets really interesting when lovers develop some skill with their hands.

Make no mistake. Skill makes a difference. I know this because I’ve known men and women who use their hands to do more than simply touch. They know exactly where, how, and what intensity to use in conveying their passions. It shows in how they deal with their lovers. They can make another person feel loved and satisfied without saying a word and while keeping their clothes on, no less.

Hands are undeniably useful and deceptively powerful. That special skill can be wielded by men and women alike. It often takes practice and refinement, but it’s definitely worth doing. I hope this Daily Sexy Musing affirms that. Enjoy!

I crack my knuckles.

I focus my mind.

I rub my hands together, creating a warmth I hope to convey.

You stand before me, waiting and eager. There’s so much to say and do. We’ve finally found the time and space to focus only on each other. I want to make it count, but there’s only so much I can put into words. How I feel and what I desire simply defies description.

Thankfully, there are other ways of telling your lover how you feel.

With my hands, I lightly graze your face with my fingers. Then, I trail down your chin and neck, finding those extra-sensitive spots I know so well. You shiver and shudder every step of the way, just as I’d hoped. I don’t have to say anything. I just smile and let my hands do the talking.

These hands can say more than most. Whereas some develop their speaking skills, I chose to refine how I touch and feel my way around my lover. Practice and dedication, combined with trial and error, have made me adept at making every tactile gesture matter. I’ve also made sure you reap the benefits.

Through my touch, I show how much I want you.

Through my touch, I convey how much I love you.

Through my touch, I inspire your greatest passions.

My skilled hands work their magic. You eagerly succumb to my spell. Guided by my hands, I take you in my arms and we follow this new passion. What starts as a simple touch can become so much more. With skilled hands, they can become truly powerful.

Neuralink Event: Updates, Insights, And (Big) Implications

finalmente-sapremo-neuralink-progetto-segreto-elon-musk-v3-388343

It’s been a while since I’ve talked about Neuralink. There’s a good reason for that. Even though Elon Musk announced the formation of the company back in 2017, there hasn’t been much news, aside from a few cryptic teases. That didn’t stop me from proclaiming it be one of the most important venture of all time and I still stand by that proclamation.

Finally, on July 16, 2019, we got some news from Neuralink that attracted major press coverage. Musk, in an event that was live-streamed, offered some tantalizing details on the state of the company’s research into advanced brain implants. He didn’t announce that they’d perfected it. However, he did make clear that this is not some crazy idea he just scribbled on a cocktail napkin.

The presentation was lengthy and I encourage everyone to check it out. I’m nowhere near as smart, articulate, or successful as Elon Musk. Very few individuals on this planet are. If for no other reason, watch this event to affirm that he’s serious about merging human brains and machines.

If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, here a few key points:

  • The first use of this technology will be to treat brain disorders
  • The company has over $150 million and almost 100 employees
  • It has made significant strides in crafting advanced electrodes that can be implanted in a human brain
  • The current prototype utilizes chips that can process brain signals
  • The prototypes have proven functional with rats and monkeys

These insights are intriguing, but they’re not going to change the world overnight. It’s not like we’ll be able to order our own brain implants from Amazon by the end of the year. This technology is still in its infancy. We’ve only recently developed computer hardware that can communicate with brain cells. We’re a long way off from functioning on the level of the Borg.

What Musk laid out wasn’t just a vision. He offered specifics, citing where we are with the technology and who will initially benefit. It makes sense for those with brain disorders to act as the first beneficiaries. Aside from the difficulty of convincing most people to have something put into their brains, these implants could be invaluable at helping quadriplegics improve their lives.

It’s not an impossible feat, having brains interact directly with machines. It has been successfully done with monkeys. It’s just a matter of testing, refinement, and improvement. Like cell phones and Lasik surgery, which I’ve had done, the technology will improve once it has a foundation to build on.

Now, we got a glimpse of that foundation and there’s plenty of reasons for excitement. While nobody can predict the future, especially not as well as someone like Elon Musk, there are some major implications for the near and distant future.

Just controlling a computer with your brain is not the endgame of this technology. Musk stated clearly in the event that the ultimate goal is to create an intimate, symbiotic relationship between humans and advanced artificial intelligence. He sees it as a necessary relationship if we’re to minimize the existential threat posed by AI.

Before we get to that goal, though, it’s almost a given that this technology will find other uses and markets. One market that wasn’t mentioned in the presentation, but could prove very lucrative, is gaming.

As much as video game technology has advanced since the early days of Nintendo, the controls haven’t evolved much. We still need a keyboard or a controller to interact with the system. As someone whose reflexes were rarely fast enough while playing Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, I can appreciate those limitations more than most.

Imagine an interface where moving a character or a cursor required only your thoughts. Suddenly, you’re no longer restricted to button sequences and analog sticks. The controls only limited by your brain’s ability to give the necessary commands. Whether you’re playing an old Mario game or Grand Theft Auto V, you guide everything along with your thoughts.

Considering the gaming industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, the incentives for innovation are strong. If a brain interface offers novelty or advantages for gaming, then Neuralink is in a position to reap the benefits.

Those same benefits extend beyond the gaming industry. While it may take a while for an implant to process the complex controls of a video game, it might not take as long to create one with the ability to give wielders more direct control of their smartphone. Some may recoil at the thought of being that connected with their smartphone, but the benefits may be too good to pass up.

I can easily imagine an interface that not only helps people type messages faster, but provides better security than passwords, fingerprints, or facial recognition. Hackers might be able to crack a password, but brain signals would pose a far more daunting challenge.

This kind of interface also opens the door to a more intimate forms of communication. It’s one thing to just send texts and emails with our phones. What if we could send codes through brain implants that actually convey feelings and emotions? Instead of emojis, we could just send a coded message from one implant to another that conveys anything from happiness to shock to sarcasm.

That level of communication wouldn’t just be groundbreaking. It would change the way human beings interact. Again, it would be somewhat rudimentary at first, but with refinement, it could open entirely new channels for those who take advantage of this technology.

These are just some of the possibilities. The implications for the distant future are big, but the possibilities for the near future are just as tantalizing. Right now, the near-term goal revolves around helping brains interact with computers. At the moment, those computers are not advanced AIs. When that time comes, though, we’ll at least have a channel for that interaction.

These are exciting times, indeed. This is not just some eccentric billionaire’s crazy vision. This is really happening. There have been many technological advances that have changed our lives, but this technology may ultimately change much more than that.

Jack Fisher’s Weekly Quick Pick Comic: House of X #1

Ever comic book fan has been conditioned to revere Wednesdays as New Comic Book Day. It’s basically Christmas every week. However, much like Christmas, not all Wednesdays are equal in terms of the presents they bring. Every now and then, a Wednesday comes along that a certain segment of comic fans come to revere for years to come.

For X-Men fans, this will likely go down as one of those Wednesdays because “House of X #1” is just that astonishing. Every now and then, a book comes along that is presented as a major paradigm shift for the characters, the themes, and the over-arching narrative of a series. In superhero comics, books like that are hyped up at least once a month. Very few deliver on that hype. “House of X #1” is one of those select few.

To say that the X-Men comics needed a book like this is like saying an insomniac needs a good night’s sleep. For years now, going back to the days of “House of M,” both the X-Men and the entire mutant population of the Marvel Universe has been in a constant state of extinction-level crisis. Even when they’re not about to go extinct, they’re caught up in something that has them just one slip-up away from another dytopian future.

In “House of X #1,” writer Jonathan Hickman dares to rebuild the X-Men’s world without first sending them to the brink of extinction. For anyone who has followed X-Men comics for more than two years, this is like a breath of fresh air, a massage, and a chocolate milkshake all rolled into one. It shouldn’t be that radical a concept, but between Hickman’s vision and Pepe Larraz’s beautiful artwork, it sure feels like it.

This bold new world for the X-Men isn’t built around mansions with high-tech jets hidden below the tennis court. You won’t find orbiting asteroids, isolated nations, or island sanctuaries in the middle of San Francisco Bay. This world is more than a nation or sanctuary. It’s a bold new form for Charles Xavier’s dream.

It comes courtesy of Krakoa, a name right out of one of the most iconic X-Men comics of all time. This living island has evolved and Charles Xavier is maximizing its potential with intriguing results. He comes off as more than just a visionary or messianic figure in “House of X #1.” He has a bold new plan for the entire mutant race and it’s big.

By that, I don’t just mean it’s big in terms of goals and scope. This plan is something that changes the way the X-Men operate. It’s not just flying around in X-Jets anymore. It’s not just peaceful protests and confronting bigotry. Charles Xavier is rallying mutants to his cause in a bold new way. He’s also dealing with humans in a new way, as well.

It’s here where “House of X #1” explores some very interesting concepts that take the X-Men into uncharted territory. For much of their history, the X-Men have been either reacting to attacks by their enemies or trying to counter intense hatred and mistrust of mutants. It hasn’t just hindered Xavier’s efforts at peace and understanding. It has kept them isolated and always on the brink.

Rather than simply brace for the worst, Charles Xavier decides to offer something tantalizing to both humans and mutants alike. I won’t spoil too many details. I’ll just say that he puts the X-Men in a unique position, in terms of how the world sees them. It may not win them the love and adulation that the Avengers get, but it does provide some bold incentives.

That’s something that few X-Men comics have ever attempted on this scale. It’s not enough to confront hatred and mistrust. Hickman puts the X-Men in a position to be more diplomatic with the world. They have something to offer the world. Accepting that offer benefits humans and mutants in a tangible, positive way.

Again, that should not be such a radical concept, but Hickman and Larraz present it in a way that feels both novel and vast. It’s not entirely utopian in its potential, but it has the potential to bring positive change to a world and a narrative that needs it.

As a lifelong X-Men fan, “House of X #1” fills me with both curiosity and awe. There’s a lot to love about this bold new world that Hickman and Larraz are building. For once, it’s not just another threat that puts the mutant race on the brink of extinction. There’s a larger effort to do something bigger.

That’s not to say the threats aren’t there. Just as Charles Xavier pursues his bold new vision in “House of X #1,” other visions forged by other characters emerge to present obstacles. Some parts of that vision are new, but there is some familiar imagery that X-Men fans will recognize. It ensures that there will still be plenty of mutant-powered fights in this new world.

At the same time, “House of X #1” creates a clear impression that fighting killer robots will only be a small part of this new vision for the X-Men. There’s so much more going on, both with the characters and with the larger Marvel Universe. After all the upheavals they’ve had over the past 15 years, it finally feels like they have room to grow again.

It’s an exciting time to be an X-Men fan. On top of Kevin Feige confirming that mutants are finally coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hickman and Larraz are taking X-Men in a bold, if not overdue direction in the comics. This sentiment is even captured perfectly in Charles Xavier’s first lines of the book.

“Humans of the planet Earth. While you slept, the world changed.”

Truer words were never spoken. In a world that gets invaded by aliens, Hydra, and renegade gods every other day, that’s saying something.

Daily Sexy Musings: Intimate Feats Of Strength

9ee7e3f971172abf87099375a47204db

In the vast spectrum that constitutes one’s sex appeal, strength is one of the most basic manifestations of that appeal. By strength, I don’t just mean an ability to bench press a refrigerator. Strength can take many forms, from lifting heavy boxes to giving birth to new life. At its core, it reflects an ability to forge something new into a chaotic world that doesn’t change easily.

As someone who used to be out of shape and under-motivated, I can attest to the benefits that basic strength can lend to our sex appeal. I noticed it shortly after I began working out. When I pushed myself and achieved a feat of strength, whether it was running five miles on a treadmill or bench pressing 150 pounds, I felt inherently sexier.

I can also attest that seeing women perform feats of strength makes them sexier. That’s not just my love of female superheroes talking, either. When we see someone pull off an amazing act of strength, we can’t help but feel attracted to it. Even if we’re intimidated on some levels, it gets our attention for all the right reasons.

For that reason, feeling strong and feeling sexy often go together. When we exercise or apply our strength, we demonstrate just how much we’re willing to push ourselves to achieve what we desire. It’s as sexual as it is practical. In that spirit, I hope this Daily Sexy Musing functions as both an acknowledgement and a celebration of that strength. Enjoy!

I push and pull.

I left and lug.

I grunt and grit.

Through it all, I endure the strain and you take notice.

By now, the dirt and grime has accumulated on my flesh. Sweat pours down my brow as my muscles ache from extended use. The air around me is thick with hot musk and it only gets thicker with every strenuous act. Through it all, I can feel your eyes upon me. I can also sense your intrigue growing.

My body is just a mechanism. Through it, I exact my will as best I can. To get what I want, I need strength. To get that strength, I exercise and toil. You’ve watched me every step of the way, encouraging and motivating my spirit at every turn. At first, it’s to help me. In time, however, it affects you in the most intimate ways.

The sweat provides spectacle.

The musk provides ambience.

The grit provides inspiration.

The results evoke intrigue.

I can see it in your face, thoughts and fantasies dancing across your mind. You want to see my strength applied in a more sensual context. With it, a simple touch is not so simple. Every kiss, embrace, and caress gains more power and meaning. You don’t just seek it. You crave it.

My strength is your spark.

My strength is your fuel.

My strength is a powerful signal.

I can handle the rigors of your love. You believe your desire is enough to endure my strength. Neither one of us is certain, but we’re both so eager to find out.

Why Natalie Portman Becoming Thor Is The Biggest Story From San Diego Comic Con 2019

natalie-portman

If you’re a fan of comic books, superhero movies, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this past weekend was like Christmas, Halloween, the 4th of July, and the Super Bowl all rolled into one. The San Diego Comic Con is essentially the epicenter of geek culture. In recent years, it has only gotten bigger, becoming a staging area for major pop culture events. This latest convention was no exception.

While there was plenty of news to follow at this year’s Comic Con, especially for X-Men fans like me, the biggest event was always going to be Marvel Studios. It has already been a historic year for superhero movies, especially on the Marvel side of the genre. Shortly before the convention began, “Avengers Endgame” officially passed “Avatar” to become the highest grossing movie of all time.

It’s a good time to be Kevin Feige.

It’s a good time to be Bob Iger.

It’s a good time to be a Marvel fan, in general.

With the end of “Avengers Endgame,” however, the story that began in 2008 “Iron Man” has concluded. The Avengers assembled in a truly spectacular battle for the ages. Thanos is defeated. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is once again secure, but after making the highest grossing movie of all time, how can Marvel Studios keep raising the bar like this?

In Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center, the next phase of the MCU was finally revealed. Some of the announcements were expected. News of a “Black Widow” movie, as well as an “Eternals” movie, had already been reported months ago. News of a “Blade” movie within the MCU was more surprising, but that wasn’t the biggest story by a long shot.

By far, the biggest Marvel Studios news to come out of San Diego Comic Con 2019 was Natalie Portman returning as Jane Foster to play a female Thor. I’m not going to lie. When I saw this news, I had to blink a few times and slap myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. Once certain this was real, it finally sunk in.

Natalie Portman is returning the MCU as Jane Foster to play a female Thor.

To appreciate why this is a huge deal to longtime comic readers like me, I need to provide a little context. Jane Foster being Thor is a concept that only recently gained prominence, thanks to one of Marvel’s top-tier writers, Jason Aaron.

Back in 2014, the Thor comics underwent a major upheaval. After a fateful encounter with Nick Fury, Thor suddenly became unworthy of lifting Mjolnir. It was a dramatic moment that defined the character for years to come. Then, after everyone in Asgard failed to lift the hammer, Jane Foster came along to wield it. In doing so, she became the new Thor.

If you haven’t read the first few volumes of that story, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Even if you’ve only seen the movies, you’ll still find plenty to love about these comics. They made me a fan of both Thor and Jane Foster. If Marvel Studios and Natalie Portman can even capture a fraction of this story’s greatness, then it’ll be a bold new era for superhero movies.

Now, make no mistake. Jane Foster becoming Thor was not without controversy. In fact, the timing of this story couldn’t have been worse. It came out right around the same time that efforts to promote diversity within superhero comics had become mired in regressive politics. It was a time when iconic characters were being replaced and new characters were being created, albeit with mixed results.

This is how mixed it got and NOT in a good way.

I’d rather not go into all the issues, controversies, and absurdities from that era, but I will say that Jane Foster becoming Thor was one of the success stories from that tenuous period. Her journey as the new Thor didn’t supplant that of her predecessor. If anything, it complemented his story. The title of Thor was greatly improved because Jane Foster wielded that hammer.

Now, Marvel Studios is in an even better position to do the same. The success of both “Wonder Woman” and “Captain Marvel” has established that there is a market for female superheroes. The events of “Avengers Endgame” also opened the door for someone else to step in without diminishing Chris Hemsworth’s character, who may still have a part to play in “Guardians of the Galaxy 3.”

It also helps that Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster has been MIA since the events of “Thor: The Dark World.” While her reasons for leaving were somewhat obscure, the announcement at San Diego left no room for ambiguity. She’s coming back and she’s going to play a major role in the next phase of the MCU.

In my opinion, this will go down as one of the most pivotal announcements in the history of the MCU. Why do I believe this is bigger than the Eternals, Blade, Black Widow, or any of the upcoming shows on the Disney+ streaming service? To answer that, it’s necessary to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

The Jane Foster that Natalie Portman played in the first two Thor movies is not the same Jane Foster who has established herself as a prominent force in the comics. Throughout her history, she has maintained a strong connection to Thor and not just as a romantic interest. In many respects, she has been the character through which ordinary, non-Asgardian people explore Thor’s world of gods, demigods, and monsters.

A big part of what made Jason Aaron’s story surrounding Jane Foster becoming Thor so powerful was how she proved her worthiness of that title. As a mortal woman with many mortal limitations, she embraced that role and proved herself against gods, monsters, and even other superheroes. It was easy to cheer her on every step of the way.

In any era, it’s a powerful story, having an ordinary human embrace god-like power to bear god-like burdens. In this current era of superhero movies, Jane Foster becoming Thor isn’t just a fitting, comics-accurate way to build her story in the MCU. It’s a story that almost feels necessary.

The MCU is a world that has become densely populated by super soldiers, aliens, gods, monsters, and demigods. With the conclusion of “Avengers Endgame,” the world is in a tenuous state. Friendships, families, and teams have been decimated due to the conflict surrounding Thanos and the Infinity Stones. There are voids to be filled, including a few once populated by gods.

Ordinary people becoming heroes is a story that the MCU has told many times before, the latest being “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” Stories about ordinary people becoming gods haven’t been nearly as common and with the Eternals already poised to join the MCU, I think that story should play out in some manner, if only to keep humanity connected to this world.

Jane becoming the Goddess of Thunder is the perfect story to maintain that connection. Unlike Carol Danvers, Jane is not a soldier or a warrior. She’s a scientist who got caught up in the world of gods and superheroes, but she didn’t run from it in the comic. Now, armed with Natalie Portman’s Oscar-winning talent, she’s poised to make a similar journey in a world that needs new heroes to step up.

It’s an exciting, but uncertain time for the MCU. However, when you’ve got a story like that of Jane Foster becoming Thor and an actress as talented as Natalie Portman leading the way, the future has never been brighter.

Jack Fisher’s Sexy Sunday Thoughts: San Diego Comic Con 2019 Edition

cosplayday2_bill_8_0

For most people, the middle of July is just the epicenter of summer. School is out, the pools are open, and heat waves are the norm rather than the exception. It’s not a bad time of year by any stretch. However, if you’re a fan of comic books, superhero movies, and all things geek culture, this time of year is basically the Super Bowl and Christmas.

That’s because the San Diego Comic Con is going on and for those who love superhero comics as much as me, it’s one of the most wonderful times of the year. It’s not just about teasers, movie trailers, or news about upcoming comics. It’s an event like no other. Whether you’re a fan of the X-Men, Superman, or the Walking Dead, Comic Con has something awesome to offer.

One of the best parts this most uncanny event is the cos-players. As someone who has dressed up more than once for the New York Comic Con, I can attest the joy of this colorful side of fandom. It’s not just about geeks wearing costumes on a day that isn’t Halloween. It’s passionate fans showing how much they love something. That passion is worthy of respect.

I’ve met many amazing cos-players. Some really raise the bar their costumes. The people behind these costumes are incredible people. They love what they do and they look awesome while enjoying it. There’s so much fun to be had at events like this. One day, I hope to go to San Diego Comic Con. For now, I’m content to celebrate it and the cos-players who make it awesome with my Sexy Sunday Thoughts. Enjoy!

“Laughter might be the best medicine, but making love is far more effective at healing.”

“For many people, an orgasm is their first overtly religious proclamation.”

“To some extent, divorce is the romantic equivalent of a cancellation fee.”

“A wedding may be the best day of your life, but your honeymoon will always be the more fun.”

“Being in love means wanting to be part of someone’s life, but obsession means wanting to dominate their life.”

“Orgasms are one of the few things where quality and quantity are equally desirable.”

“Love potions in fairy tales are just kid-friendly version of a drunken hook-up.”

To all those lucky enough to attend the San Diego Comic Con and those who made it more awesome by dressing up for cos-play, I sincerely thank you. This has been an amazing year for superhero comics and superhero media. It’s hard to know what to expect, but after taking in the festivities of Comic Con, the future looks bright, colorful, and sexy. Nuff said!

“Hot Dream” A Sexy Short Story

5848170-3x2-940x627

The following is a sexy short story about sexy dreams, sexy bedtime activities, and what happens when you blur the line between the two. It’s compound sexiness at its finest. Enjoy!

“Another late night,” sighed a restless Victoria Rhodes. “Why do I keep doing this to myself?”

She didn’t bother answering that question as she dragged herself through the front door of the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, Jason Leeroy. She tried not to make much noise. It was past midnight and she was the only one on their floor who worked such erratic hours. Even though she was used to the demands of her job at the law firm, she always seemed out of synch with those around her.

The day still shouldn’t have been that long. Several clients insisted on dragging out basic legal proceedings and, ever the opportunist, she volunteered to cover the overtime. It should’ve been over in time for dinner. Instead, it went past sundown and beyond.

“Hell, I know why I do it,” she muttered as she closed the door behind her. “The real question is why I drag the people I love through the muck?”

Setting aside her keys and purse, Victoria gazed into the darkened apartment to see that her work life and personal life were woefully unbalanced. There was a half-eaten bowl of popcorn on the sofa and a bunch of disheveled blankets strewn over the sides. It reminded her that she’d promised that she’d be home in time to catch up on some shows they’d been binge-watching. Once again, she broke that promise.

She hated breaking her promises, especially to someone who’d been so patient with her. Many of Victoria’s past relationships failed because her lovers couldn’t keep up with her ambition. Jason was the first to last more than a year as she pursued her goal of leading a major law firm. He just kept supporting her and she kept giving him reasons to regret it.

“I’ll make it up to you, Jason,” Victoria said under her breath. “I know I say that a lot, but I mean it. I really do.”

Sighing to herself and shaking her head, she made her way to the bathroom, stripped out of her overpriced business attire, grabbed a towel, and prepared herself for bed. She was tired, but still very restless. She wasn’t sure she could sleep, but she had to try. At the very least, she had to be rested so she could properly apologize to Jason in the morning.

“Quit making excuses,” Victoria told her reflection after washing her face. “You’ve found someone who loves and supports you. Don’t take it for granted.”

Still leaning over the sink, her face still wet and her mind still racing from a long day, she cast herself one last critical scold. Assuming she’d have plenty of time to resent herself tomorrow, she set aside the towel and retrieved a nighty from the laundry hamper. That was something else she should’ve done after work, taking care of the laundry that had piled up. It was yet another thing Victoria kept putting off.

Again, she set that issue aside and focused on getting some much needed rest. Now earing her black nighty and the same white panties she’d put on that morning, she turned off the light and retreated to the master bedroom she shared with Jason.

Not surprisingly, he was already fast asleep, the comforter barely covering his legs and waist. He looked peaceful, more relaxed and content than she’d ever been. It came so easy to him. It probably helped that he worked in the music industry, often with jazz artists and soft rock groups. She envied that ability to just lay back, unwind, and let a stressful day just melt away.

“Oh Jason,” Victoria said under her breath. “Finding peace comes so easy to you. If only we all had that talent.”

With a yawn and a light stretch, she carefully pulled back the covers and slipped into bed with her lover. His warm presence, alone, was enough to ease her anxious mind to some extent. As she snuggled up to him, though, she noticed something else.

He was naked. That was somewhat surprising. While it wasn’t that unusual for Jason to sleep naked, it rarely did so without the influence of a major summer heat wave. Even if it was the middle of spring, she still expected him to wear boxers. Having seen him naked many times before, as well as slept with him, Victoria shrugged it off.

Then, as she curled up closer, she noticed something else that further explained why he’d ditched the boxer shorts. Jason had a full-blown erection.

“Whoa,” Victoria said. “Someone is having a nice dream.”

As she laid next to her lover’s sleeping form, she sensed her observation had been more accurate than expected. That erection matter of male reflexes or morning wood. Jason really was dreaming. She could tell by his quickened breathing and rapid heartbeat. Even in the darkness, she saw how his expression shifted erratically. Those were not the signs of someone in a deep sleep.

“I stand corrected,” she said with a humored grin. “Someone is having a very hot dream.”

Jason stirred slightly in her presence, but didn’t wake up. Being such a heavy sleeper – a natural adaptation, as he called it, from having a father who played guitar and a mother who sang showtunes – it took a lot to wake him up. She didn’t think it allowed for such vivid dreaming, but the proof was rock-hard flesh pressing against the sheets.

“A hot sexy dream,” Victoria mused, “maybe that’s what I need…if only to remind myself why I push myself so damn hard.”

Snuggling closer to her lover, she found herself lightly embracing his sleeping form. In doing so, her thigh grazed over his rigid member. That got a reaction from Jason. She swore he cracked a smile in his sleeping form. Something about that made Victoria smile as well.

Still restless, she rubbed her thigh against it a little more, feeling the manly flesh along her smooth skin. It wasn’t just sexy. It was oddly refreshing, reminding her that she was still young, healthy, and in love with a handsome man. That was something that shouldn’t have required a reminder in the first place, but it still felt so right.

“Mmm…guess it’s not as hard for some people…figuratively speaking,” Victoria said under her breath.

Again, she rubbed her thigh against his hardened cock. She swore it got more erect under her touch. She saw his smile widen. She also felt parts of her body react as well. Even in her restless state – or because of it, even – she felt a twinge of arousal between her thighs.

That feeling, and all the implications that came with it, inspired a new recourse. If Victoria was going to overwork herself while overwhelming those she loved, then she might as well get creative with how she managed everything. Having a naked, fully-aroused man in her bed presented a unique opportunity.

“Maybe I need more than a dream,” she said in a deep, sensual tone. “Maybe I need something more real.”

Opting to take advantage of the opportunity, Victoria channeled her sexy side – a side that she hadn’t been able to exercise in quite some time. Looking up at her lover and recounting how her work habits had hindered their love life, she suddenly felt motivated to rectify that.

With a mischievous grin, she lightly pulled the covers back to reveal Jason’s rock-hard boner. For a brief moment, she marveled at how a man could get so aroused in his sleep. It helped that her lover was very well-endowed. Jason’s older brother once joked that the men in their family had their most extraordinary traits hidden by their ordinary stature. Seeing his manhood at full arousal made clear that it was no joke.

Victoria, already licking her lips intently, carefully grasped the hardened shaft with both hands. Jason reacted again, shifting a bit in the bed, but remaining asleep. Once he settled, the restless woman dared to take the intimate moment even further. Using a careful mix of tact and affection, she leaned in and began giving him oral sex.

“Mmm…yeah,” Jason gasped in his sleep.

It was a good sign. He must have thought he was having an especially vivid dream. Something about that encouraged Victoria even more. Glancing up at her lover through the darkness, she grew bolder and began sucking him off.

She was more careful than usual, going nice and slow, trailing her lips and tongue along the length of his cock. He was so hard. She could feel the veins bulging around her lips, throbbing with the kind of masculine arousal that evoked the most primal of desires. Tasting, licking, and savoring his manly flesh, the experience didn’t just intensify her own arousal. It helped purge from her the anxiety that had followed her home from work.

“You like it. I know you do,” she whispered, adding more vivid details to her lover’s dream. “I like it too. It’s getting me so wet.”

That wasn’t just dirty talk. As she continued sucking her lover’s cock, she felt her own horniness escalate from a twinge of heat to a firestorm of arousal. At one point, she released one hand from the base of Jason’s cock and slipped it into her panties, fingering and stimulating her outer folds to maximize her arousal.

Soon, they were both fully aroused. His dick was so hard and her pussy was so wet. Looking back up at her lover’s sleeping form, it might have been easy to just keep sucking until he got off. That way, she could convince Jason that he’d just had an especially graphic wet dream. However, that would’ve left her unsatisfied. It also wouldn’t have come close to making up for her broken promise.

“I can tell you want more, my love,” Victoria whispered to her sleeping lover. “Don’t worry. You’ll get exactly what you need. We both will.”

Like a sexy spirit of the night, she rose up and took off her clothes, sliding her nighty off over her head and slipping out of her panties. Once she was every bit as naked as her lover, she tactfully crawled atop his sleeping form. From there, she straddled his waist and aligned his cock with her pussy. Then, with the utmost care, she lowered herself onto him, his rigid flesh penetrating her moist folds in an intimate melding of their bodies.

“Ooh Jason!” she gasped in a muted tone.

She tired her best to not be too loud. That wasn’t easy under the weight of the intense sensations that followed. Somehow, whether by miracle or her ability to silence herself in the heat of the moment, Jason remained asleep. They were having sex, their intimate flesh fully entwined, and her lover was asleep. If it didn’t feel so good, it would’ve been hilarious.

However, Victoria’s first instinct wasn’t to laugh. With her throbbing pussy now squeezing Jason’s cock, she remained focused on turning his sexy dream into a blissful reality. She began moving her body, digging her knees into the bed and lightly holding onto his waist. Back and forth, she maneuvered her hips, working her folds along the length of his manhood. Along the way, she rubbed her swollen clit, supplementing every movement with more hot sensations. Even under such a steady, careful rhythm, the feeling quickly intensified.

“Jason…Jason, my love,” Victoria gasped.

“Victoria,” he gasped in a sleepy dazed.

Hearing him say her name, even in his current state, warmed her heart and gave greater meaning to their sex. For all she knew, his sexy dreams involved ex-girlfriends and celebrity bimbos he saw on TV. That wasn’t the case, though. In his sexiest dreams, she was there. She was part of those fantasies. If she hadn’t already been madly in love with him, she would’ve fallen for him on the spot.

“Yes, my darling. I’m here…with you…in your dreams,” she whispered in between blissful gasps.

Whether by instinct or reflex, Jason’s hands found their way to her hips. Victoria quickly took them and guided them to her breasts, allowing him to squeeze them as she rode his cock closer to the brink. She could tell by the way his expression contorted that he was close. She quickly made her way to that special plateau, as well.

She didn’t know if a man had ever brought his lover to orgasm in his sleep, but it couldn’t have been too common. It felt like one of those rare confluence of events that wasn’t impossible, but still improbable. Whatever the odds, it was happening with her and Jason. Victoria was about to climax and so was her lover.

She applied more pressure to her clit, digging her knees and feet into the bed even harder as she jerked her hips through a few more successive motions. She could already feel her lover’s cock throbbing inside her. He was about to pop his load. Then, just as his face contorted to the sweet sensations of his release, she felt it.

“Ohhh Jason!” Victoria moaned, no longer trying to mute herself.

It was like a blanket of bliss covering her from every angle, all those pent-up feelings from excessive work and broken promises washing away in that one moment. Like a woman possessed, she writhed atop her lover, closing her eyes and arching her back as the ripples of ecstasy coursed through her body.

The hard, rapid contractions of her inner muscles helped Jason get his share of ecstasy too. His moans complimented hers as he released a thick stream of manly fluid into her depths, their sexual juices converging in a perfect blend of ecstasy. It embodied the perfect feeling for such an unique set of events.

Coming home late, she’d expected to find her lover fast asleep. Finding him aroused, caught up in a very sexy dream, defied more than her expectations. It felt like a sign, of sorts. Even at a time when she was overworked and overwhelmed, there were opportunities to embrace those intimate passions that made all the work worthwhile.

After soaking in the feeling, committing every blissful sensation and the lessons they carried to memory, Victoria let out a content sighed and rolled off her lover. Their flesh now parted, she curled up next to Jason’s naked body, the post-coital afterglow doing plenty to ease her restlessness. Finally, she felt like she could get some much-needed sleep.

“That was great,” said Jason in an unexpected voiced.

Jarred from her dazed state, Victoria opened her eyes to see a beaming grin on her lover’s face.

“Jason…how long have you been awake?” she asked with an embarrassed, but amused look.

“Since I felt a beautiful woman crawl into bed with me,” he replied.

“And the raging boner you had before that?”

“What can I say?” Jason said with an innocent shrug. “I was having a hot dream. You just helped make it hotter.”
