Jack Fisher’s Sexy Sunday Thoughts: Secret Freak Edition

preview

What’s the difference between sweet talking and flirting? It’s a question I wish I’d asked as a teenager because knowing the difference really would’ve helped. Flirting is somewhat impersonal. It’s basically someone advertising their desire for a companion. You can use the same words, tone, and demeanor on multiple people and it will still make sense.

Sweet talking is different. Sweet talk is more intimate and personal. It’s the kind of thing you do with someone when you know what gets their heart beating faster. It’s not something you can just do with anyone. You have to know the person on some level. You have to have that shared desire forge a more intimate connection.

It not quite as intimate as physical intimacy, but it’s pretty damn close. It often acts as a catalyst to that level of intimacy. It’s not just what you say to someone. It’s how you say it. With the right tone and demeanor, it can turn a romantic situation into something very seamy. Whenever I’m writing novels or sexy short stories, it’s one of the best parts to explore.

Sweet talk is something that’s unique to every couple. There’s no wrong way to do it. Just find the right words and tone that works with your lover. From there, let the sexy romantic moments unfold. Here are a fresh crop of my Sexy Sunday Thoughts to help further that effort. Enjoy!

“A rich man can buy love, but a man who loves giving oral sex is more likely to earn it for free.”

“We’re more likely to make peace with or be enslaved by an alien species that we can have sex with.”

“On some levels, being really attracted to someone makes us act like a stripper.”

“Afterglow is nature’s way of tipping our species for surviving.”

“Fairy tale romances are the hardcore porn of love stories.”

“There are many stories about love at first sight, but not nearly enough about love at first orgasm.”

“Someone who is really turned on by obedience should probably be vetted before owning a pet.”

We’re all turned on by different things. We all have romantic senses that are triggered by different words. Part of the fun of connecting with people is learning those quirks. When we find someone who can sweet talk us into something sexy, it’s a beautiful thing. If you’re lucky enough to have someone, embrace it. If you don’t, then that special someone is worth finding.

Hollywood To Use More CGI For Sex Scenes: A Trend With Bigger (And Sexier) Implications

A while back, I speculated that improvements to computer technology would change how erotica romance was portrayed in mainstream movies. When I wrote that piece, I expected it to be a slow process. As long as there were actors and actresses willing to get naked for celebrity, I had a feeling it would be a while before this sort of thing became common.

Then, a global pandemic happened. Suddenly, Hollywood had to re-examine and re-imagine how it went about the sexy side of its business.

Now, this doesn’t count as prophetic on my part. It’s more a necessity. Hollywood still wants to make money. Audiences still want to see beautiful people hump on screen. Regardless of the current state of CGI, the market will deliver. A recent report from The Sun, indicated that studios were planning to use more CGI for sexy scenes, if only to limit the spread of the disease.

The Decider did another write-up of this story. It was light on the details, but it summed up the situation nicely.

Decider: Hollywood Prepares for CGI Sex Scenes to Prevent Coronavirus Transmission

The novel coronavirus pandemic may completely change the way sex scenes are filmed in Hollywood. According to The Sun, when California studios reopen on June 12, producers will have to rethink “close contact moments” in order to avoid transmission of COVID-19 between actors. A 22-page document from the film editors’ association reveals that these moments, including sex scenes and other intimate moments, must be “either rewritten, abandoned, or [produced using] CGI” in the months ahead. All that’s to say: get ready to see more digitally-edited butts.

Beyond the titillating details, I suspect this is one move that will have far-reaching impacts. Long after this pandemic has passed, this might end up being the catalyst that began a much larger trend in media. It won’t just change how Hollywood handles sex scenes. It could change the entire media landscape.

There was already a strong incentive to cut back on sexy scenes. Between the impact of the anti-harassment movement and growing concerns about depictions of sex in media, there’s a growing risk that sex scenes will attract all the wrong attention. Studios, being businesses, are aware of that and will look for an alternative.

CGI sex scenes are now the default. On top of that, there’s a strong incentive to improve the technology. Given the money these studios have at their disposal, as well as their corporate backers, there will be improvements. It may look cheesy at first, but that will change. Graphics technology is already nearing hyper-real levels.

Eventually, it’ll get to a point where CGI sex scenes are easier than the real thing. All they would need is permission from the actors. If a studio is willing to be extra shady, they might not even need that. They’d just scan the bodies of the actors and actresses. Then, they use CGI to do the sexy scenes. The actors and actresses involved never even have to be in the same room together, let alone get naked.

It could lead to a situation where studios, fearful of sexual assault accusations or disease transmission, avoid real-life sex scenes altogether. They’d leave that sort of thing for porn studios. It might even increase the number of sex scenes we get in cinema because with CGI, they don’t have to deal with actors, sets, or on-screen chemistry. Their only limit is processing power.

Now, will this be a good or bad thing for the movie business?

Will it be a good or bad things for sex scenes, in general?

It’s hard to say. Personally, I think most sex scenes in mainstream movies are only marginally sexy. You can usually tell when there’s a body double or when the sexy parts are being faked. When it works, it’s beautiful. It just rarely works in mainstream movies.

I’d like to see that change, but I don’t know if this will bring that change. It’ll be interesting to see. There will always be a place for real, non-CGI sex scenes, but I have a feeling they’re going to become increasingly rare in the coming years.

My Graduation Speech For The Class Of 2020

G4

This week was a major milestone for a large cohort of young people. For once, it didn’t involve something overly depressing that made major headlines for all the wrong reasons. That, alone, is something to celebrate.

For many kids, both in high school and in college, this week marked the last week of classes. For the Class of 2020, this was the finish line for a journey that took some serious detours over the past several months. We all know why that is. Let’s not focus on that.

Regardless of the situation, graduation is a big deal. It’s a huge achievement for a young person. They made it through the arduous metamorphosis that is puberty and adolescence. They endured the frustrating rigor that is high school and/or college. Now, they’re ready to take a step forward with their lives.

Granted, they’re taking that step at the worst possible time. I can’t think of too many ways it could be harder for them, but that’s exactly why they deserve a little something extra. As such, I made a brief video. Think of it as my commencement speech to the Class of 2020. Many other celebrities are giving them. I’m not a celebrity and never will be, but I’d like to add my voice to that.

To the Class of 2020, this is for you. Enjoy!

How To Appropriately Deal With The Police (Ideally)

See the source image

There are some topics I try to avoid. Some are just things I’d rather not talk about, but others involve relevant topics that bring up relevant issues. While I will offer my opinion on some of those issues, I freely concede that I’m no expert. My opinion counts for nothing. I also know that some issues are so emotionally charged that it’s hard to contribute without making things worse.

With that in mind, I’m going to talk about the police. Believe me, I wish I were referring to the band.

Like many, I’ve watched the recent news unfold in wake of the death of George Floyd. The level of injustice within this story is simply atrocious. I cannot put into words how awful it is that something like this happened in what’s supposed to be a free society. I also don’t deny that this has happened before and, without significant reform, will happen again.

The reform part is still in the works. That’s something I don’t feel I can add to. While that process is underway, there are other things we can do in the meantime. Like it or not, we’re still going to have to deal with the police. If you’re a minority or a person of color, that’s still a daunting prospect that I can’t hope to understand.

The protests are doing their thing.

The reform is still in the works.

In the meantime, the best anyone can do is find an amicable way to deal with the police, if only to minimize the chances of another atrocity. To that end, I’d like to share this video that offers some simple, but effective rules in dealing with the police. It’s from a channel called Flex Your Rights. It’s an old video, but it’s still incredibly relevant and offers lessons that can help people navigate police encounters safely.

Please note, this is for an ideal situation. If you ever have to deal with a corrupt, dishonorable cop, then that’s another situation entirely. Hopefully, those encounters are very rare. For now, let’s try to err on the side of optimism.

I really wish this video wasn’t necessary. Hell, I wish this whole debate weren’t necessary. I’ve dealt with cops. I’ve been pulled over. I consider myself lucky. I never felt like my life was at risk. However, I know that’s not the experience of many people.

That needs to change.

I believe it will change.

It just won’t happen all at once.

While that change is happening, we still need to live our day-to-day lives in a civil society. Being able to effectively deal with the police can only help. Eventually, methods like this won’t be quite as necessary. We’ll never live in a perfect world, but at the very least, we can try making a better one.

New Comic Book Day June 10, 2020: My Pull List And Pick Of The Week

The world is an ongoing shit show, more so than usual. Most people with a news feed won’t deny that. These past few months have brought us pandemics, protests, and gross injustices that shouldn’t require that much debate to address. It’s frustrating, if not infuriating. That’s what makes days like New Comic Book Day both precious and therapeutic.

I’m not oblivious. I’ve seen the news too. I know how awful these past couple weeks have been. It just makes me look forward to New Comic Book Day even more. It’s not just about enjoying an escape into a world of superheroes, aliens, and skin-tight outfits. Sometimes, you genuinely need it.

Reality can be harsh, but comics can remind you that there are still ideals worth championing. Those ideals, no matter how unattainable they are, inspire us to make reality better. At the very least, we can try to make it less awful. We can all do our part, but a fresh stack of comics on a Wednesday morning reminds us why it’s worth doing.

While the industry still hasn’t fully recovered, it’s in much better shape than it was a month ago. That means a bigger pull list, just when comic fans need it. To the comic shops still fighting to survive and the fine folks at Comixology, I sincerely thank you. Here is my pull list and pick of the week.

My Pull List

Batman #92

Batman Secret Files #3

Black Cat #11

Batman/Catwoman: Follow the Money #1

Daredevil #20

Deadpool #5

Excalibur #10

Harley Quinn #73

Rick and Morty: Go To Hell #1

Go Go Power Rangers #32

My YouTube Experience Thus Far (And Tentative Plans)

It’s been a week since I started my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. I feel inclined to provide a little insight because so far, the experience has exceeded my expectations and in a good way.

Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been looking to mix things up in terms of my creative outlet. I’ve always sought out that kind of outlet, going all the way back to high school. It’s a big part of who I am. I started this website in hopes of furthering my work as an aspiring writer. While it did help in getting a couple books published on a small scale, it didn’t lead to a whole lot more.

The more I’ve looked into it, the more it feels like the publishing world is inaccessible to someone like me. Over the past couple years, it feels like my window to break into it has closed. Finding an agent or a publisher just isn’t a viable route anymore. Even old sources like Writers Market have lost relevance.

In short, the publishing market is just so different right now and I have no idea how to navigate it. I don’t know that I have the time or energy to learn that world. I still have a bunch of unpublished manuscripts that I’d like to share one day, but I’m genuinely unsure of how to go about turning them into a tangible product.

Writing sexy short stories offered a nice outlet for a while as well, but the audience for that dried up as well. The reason I scaled back my efforts on this site earlier this year is because I felt the effort I put into it wasn’t matching what I got out of it. At the same time, I wanted to find another method for reaching an audience and building a brand.

Already, I feel like I can do that with YouTube.

On top of that, I’ve genuinely enjoyed the video-making process. I’m certainly no expert. In fact, I freely admit the quality of my work is amateur at best. I do not use professional-grade software. I use Movie Maker, a free program that came with my computer. I use a free sound editor called WavePad to edit the audio. The music is mostly royalty-free stuff provided by YouTube Studios.

My work is nowhere close to the quality that you see from experienced YouTubers or professionals, but none-the-less, I still like it. I want to learn more. I want to get better at this. I genuinely enjoy sharing my voice with the world in my own little medium.

If I can get an audience and grow it, I may even invest in better software. I have friends and family members who work in professional environments who use high-end software. They’ve already made recommendations. If I continue enjoying this YouTube process, then I’ll gladly invest.

What does this mean for this website?

What does this mean for my writing?

I honestly don’t know. My plan, at the moment, is to put more energy into making videos. That likely means less energy for this website. I don’t know what that means for my weekly comic reviews or Sexy Sunday Thoughts. It depends on how much of an audience I can find on YouTube. Only time will tell.

Until then, I encourage those who enjoy this site to keep an eye on Jack’s World. If all goes well, it will become the primary hub from which I share my work with the world.

New Video In Jack’s World: “F Is For Family: A Perfect Satire For The American Dream”

My new YouTube channel is small, but growing. Shortly after I posted my first video, I began work on my next one. This one is actually an expansion of a piece I wrote a while back on “F is for Family.” With a new season set to debut later this week, I thought the time was right to do a video on the show’s larger themes.

That means more discussion about why Frank Murphy is so angry with the world. It also means more insights into why he threatens to put people through a fucking wall. I hope it’s as awesome as it sounds. Enjoy!

Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe to my new channel or Frank Murphy will put you through a fucking wall.

Jack Fisher’s Sexy Sunday Thoughts: Secret Freak Edition

woman-desire-sex

It’s an old cliché, but it’s not entirely wrong. There are people in this world who are sweet, shy, and timid in public. In private, though, they are full-blown sex freaks. There’s a good chance you’ve encountered one in your life and not realized their freaky side. Some people just prefer to keep that side of themselves behind closed doors and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I’ve known a few people like that. I knew a girl in college who was very sweet and soft-spoken in most public settings, but once you got her in a private setting, she had the kind of dirty mouth that would make a sailor blush. When she got excited, she got extra vulgar. It really turned her on. She might not have been fun to hang out with in public, but in private she was her own party.

That girl knew how to balance it out. Some, unfortunately, aren’t quite as adept. There’s a fine line between being a freak in private and being so repressed that you just go crazy once you’re behind closed doors. That’s not healthy. That can be mentally taxing on someone and their partner.

I’m of the opinion that we all need balance. Some just prefer a broad range of balance. Being a freak in private and shy in public is just one way to go about it. As long as you have someone to be a freak with, then I say embrace it. Have fun with it. Hell, get creative with it. I hope these Sexy Sunday Thoughts inspire just that.

“A man with a small penis will always be more motivated when it comes to giving oral sex.”

“Romance is basically a means of preheating your lover’s genitals.”

“Depending on the situation, sleeping with your teacher can count as both extra credit and detention.”

“For those who love peace and quiet, afterglow can be as satisfying as an orgasm.”

“Finding your lover’s G-spot is the sexual equivalent of computer hacking.”

“Money will increase your chances of getting laid, but power skews the odds entirely.”

“People fear what they don’t understand, but are often turned on by the possibilities.”

We all have a public persona and a private persona to some extent. For some, there’s little variation. For others, it’s downright extreme. The secret freaks of this world understand that better than most. If they’re lucky, they’ll find someone as freaky as them. That’s a beautiful foundation for romance if ever there was one.

My New YouTube Channel And My First Video!

avatar05

I have an exciting announcement to make. Today, I’ve officially launched my own YouTube channel. I call it Jack’s World. It’s a new creative outlet and one I hope leads me to bigger and better things.

Now, I’ve had this idea for a while. Earlier this year, I announced that I would be scaling back my writing on this site. I’ve also scaled back on writing my sexy short stories and novels. The reasons for that are many, but it comes down largely to time, effort, and response.

I wasn’t getting much traffic from those endeavors. I’d hoped that I could build an audience that would eventually result in forging connections in the publishing world. That effort just didn’t pan out and I’m not confident that it will, especially given the current situation.

I still want to build an audience. I still want to make a living selling books, telling sexy short stories, and sharing my insights with the world. I just can’t do that with this site alone. As such, I’m going to give YouTube a try.

My new channel will be similar to this site in that it covers various topics, from comic books to current events to personal stories to angry rants. It’s my sincere hope that I find a larger audience and greater connections. Today, that journey starts.

I’ve had to teach myself some video editing along the way, but I’ve managed to make my first video. As it just so happens, it involves X-Men and superhero movies. That should shock nobody. It also involves “Dark Phoenix,” a movie that still hold a special place in my heart and always will. I hope you enjoy it.

If you have other ideas for videos or content, please share it. I’ve already got plans for the next crop of videos. Since my channel is small, I’m going to focus on many topics, hoping to eventually find my niche. As for what it means for this website, that remains to be seen. Until then, I hope everyone will join me in Jack’s World.

Improving My Sleep With The “Sleep With Me” Podcast: Using Boredom And A Soothing Voice To Fall Asleep

Staying healthy has never been more important. During a global pandemic, we all have to be more health conscious. One of the best things you can do for yourself in a crisis like this is to stay healthy. If your body, your mind, and your immune system are robust, then you have a better chance at making it and so do those around you.

Working out and eating right are plenty important. I’ve shared some of my experiences with that. However, the importance of sleep is often understated. By that, I don’t mean the kind of sleep you get when you’re lazily lofting about for 12 hours at a time. I’m referring to the kind of refreshing, restful sleep that is critical to our mind, bodies, and everything in between.

It’s a precious, but critical element of our lives. It’s also something that feels incredibly elusive, especially during stressful times like this. I know this because I’ve been an overly stressed high school student with a part-time job. I’ve been a stressed out college student who crammed for exams until three in the morning.

I think everyone, from those stressed out by work to those stressed out by kids, know the value of a good night’s sleep and what happens when you don’t get it. The problem is that, even when you’re tired, falling asleep can be difficult. There are plenty of things you can do to help that, including medication. However, I discourage the use of sleeping pills, except in rare cases for rare conditions and at the guidance of a doctor.

Most of the other sleeping tips you can do are common sense, but in the interest of helping everyone sleep a little better during this crisis, I’d like to offer a not-so-common tip. It’s not a pill, an expensive pillow, or some spiritual woo. It’s a podcast.

Specifically, it’s the Sleep With Me podcast. It’s kind of what it sounds like, depending on how dirty your mind is.

I recently discovered this after having a few restless nights. On paper, it sounds so absurd that it just has to work.

A man named Drew Ackerman basically spends an hour telling long, non-sensical, boring stories in his unique monotone voice to help lull you to sleep. These stories are so boring and mundane that you can’t help but feel drowsy halfway in. It essentially takes boredom and weaponizes it for the purpose of helping you sleep.

It’s as strange and wonderful as it sounds. It also works, as many loyal subscribers can attest. If you need any proof, here’s a sample. Just don’t listen to it while driving. You will get sleepy.

If you’re having trouble sleeping, I encourage everyone to give this podcast a try. The world is a crazy place right now. Getting a good night’s sleep can only help.

Sweet dreams, everyone. Hopefully, this helps you as much as it helps me.
