The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. In years past, whenever I’ve gone to New York Comic Con, I’ve shared my collection of pictures in the days that follow. I want to continue doing that, but this time I’d like to use my YouTube video to share both pictures and videos I took. I also set it to some epic music. Enjoy!

New York Comic Con 2021 Afterglow

I don’t have much to say this morning. I’m still exhausted after all the festivities, but in the best possible way. We may have lost a year because of a global pandemic, but I can safely say that the New York Comic Con is as awesome as ever.
There’s a lot I’d like to share.
I have plenty of awesome pictures.
I also have some souvenirs that I can’t wait to frame and mount on my wall.
For now, though, I’m just too exhausted.
Thank you, New York Comic Con!
Thank you for putting this on after such a rough couple of years!
We needed it.

On My Way To New York Comic Con 2021!

It’s finally here! After an agonizing two-year hiatus, as well as a global pandemic, the big day is finally here. The New York Comic Con has arrived!
As we speak, I’ve got my costume laid out. I’ve got my stack of comics that I want to get autographed ready to go. Words simply cannot do justice to how excited I am. I’ve already belabored how agonizing it was to see the New York Comic Con cancelled last year. After today, I hope I can completely put that behind me.
If you also lucky enough to go, I hope you’re as excited as me. I intend to get plenty of pictures to capture the moment. For now, though, I’m off to the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
New York Comic Con, I’m on my way!
Venom Let There Be Carnage: Messy, Crazy, Marvelous Fun
The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. It is my spoiler-filled review of “Venom: Let There Be Carnage.” Enjoy!
Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four: My Hopes, Concerns, And (Wild) Speculations
The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. I’ve been working on it for a while now. Like many Marvel fans, I have been closely following the news surrounding Marvel Studios making a “Fantastic Four” movie. After so many sub-par films, no franchise needs the Marvel Studios touch more than this one. In this video, I break down what I feel a “Fantastic Four” movie needs to achieve and I do a little speculation for how it could all come together. Enjoy!
Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: Fanciful Fights and Marvelous Drama
The following video is from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. It is my full review of “Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” Please note that this video has major spoilers, so if you haven’t seen the movie, you have been warned. Also, it’s a great movie! You should definitely see it the first chance you get. Enjoy!
“Dark Phoenix” Is Now On Disney+ And Everyone Should Give It A Chance
Some movies just never get a fair chance to succeed. It’s sad, but unavoidable sometimes. There are just too many forces working against certain movies and too many people have already primed themselves to hate it before they ever see it.
Sometimes, those movies go onto become cult classics. It just takes time for people to rediscover the movie and appreciate it for what it achieved. That is my sincere hope for “Dark Phoenix,” a movie I’ve praised before and even done YouTube videos about. I genuinely believe that this is a movie that fans will appreciate more as time goes on.
It had so many things working against it. It just never got a fair chance because of the pending Disney/Fox merger. I feel like it got critically panned for reasons that had nothing to do with the actual quality of the movie. Fans and critics alike just decided to hate this movie because it was part of a dead cinematic universe and it wasn’t in the MCU.
That’s a bullshit reason to hate a movie and most reasonable people understand that.
Now, I believe the time is right for “Dark Phoenix” to get another shot. That’s because today, “Dark Phoenix” has officially arrived on Disney+ and anyone who never gave it a chance when it came out can truly judge for themselves.
If you have a Disney+ subscription, I highly recommend adding this movie to your queue. Forget everything you’ve heard from the critics. Forget the popular perceptions surrounding this movie. Just check it out and see for yourselves.
I believe that this movie’s worth will reveal to a new audience. I also believe the time is right because we haven’t had much news about the future of the X-Men movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We know they’re coming. We just don’t know when or what form it’ll take.
Since it’ll likely be a while before we see any mutants show up in the MCU, the time is right to appreciate what the Fox movies gave us. Many of those movies are already on Disney+ and I think “Dark Phoenix” is the hidden gem the franchise needs right now.
Again, just give it a chance. You might be surprised by how much you enjoy it.

Dr. Strange: The Most Underrated Movie In The Marvel Cinematic Universe (Jack’s World)
The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. In this video, I make the case that “Dr. Strange,” a movie that rarely garners much discussion among MCU fans, is the most underrated movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’ll even go so far as to say that it’s one of the best made MCU movies to date. With interest in the sequel growing steadily, I think the time is right to celebrate what an achievement this movie was. Enjoy!

Dr. Doom: Ultimate Villain or Greatest Hero?
The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. It’s another video about comic books, which shouldn’t surprise anyone at this point. It’s also about Victor Von Doom, which shouldn’t surprise anyone who has been following this site for any extended period. This video is actually based on an article I wrote a while back, but with a few tweaks here and there. Given his eventual arrival into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I think the time is right to celebrate why he’s such a great character. Enjoy!
Lessons In Forgiveness: Spider-Man 3 vs. Avatar: The Last Airbender
The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. It’s a video I’ve been working on for a while and I’m very excited about this one. Once again, I get to make a video where I talk about superhero movies. Sam Rami’s Spider-Man trilogy really was a game-changer for the genre and I’ll be forever grateful for that. However, this time I also get to talk about one of the best and most beloved animated shows in history, “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”
I recently rediscovered this show on Netflix and I’ve been eager to talk about it. This video is my first deep dive into the larger concepts behind this amazing show, as well as those that played out in the Raimi trilogy. Specifically, this video focuses on forgiveness and how it can give a story dramatic weight.
I hope this video gets a good response because I had a lot of fun making it. I hope you enjoy it too.
