This is another video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This video is a reaction and response video to Marvel’s recent announcement that they’re revising the world of Ultimate Marvel in June 2023 with Ultimate Invasion. I found this news somewhat striking because a year ago, I made a series of videos arguing that Marvel should reboot the Ultimate Universe. And there’s a real chance we could get something like that with this event. However, based on what little we know about the event, my feelings are somewhat mixed. And in this video, I explain that sentiment while also exploring the potential and pitfalls of this news.

How Fox Got Wolverine Wrong (And How The MCU Can Get Him Right)
This is another video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This video essay is me making the case that, for the most part, Fox got Wolverine wrong as a character over the course of multiple movies. In some cases, they got him egregiously wrong. And there are definitely lessons to learn from these movies, which will hopefully lead to a better Wolverine once he enters the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Enjoy!
Jack’s Comic Gems: Cyclops Starstruck
This is another video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This is video another entry in my ongoing “Jack’s Comic Gems” collection. And this particular gem takes Cyclops, one of the most controversial and well-known X-Men characters, and puts him in an unfamiliar setting. He’s not leading the X-Men. He’s not clashing with Wolverine or obsessing over Jean Grey. He’s not even in his adult form thanks to some time travel shenanigans.
Instead, he’s in space re-connecting with his father, Corsair. He’s going on adventures with the Starjammers, channeling his inner space pirate. It’s not your typical Cyclops story, but that’s exactly what made it such a gem. Enjoy!

Avengers: Secret Wars | Why The Marvel Cinematic Universe Needs A (Soft) Reboot
The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. In this video, I discuss the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the potential impact of Avengers: Secret Wars.
After so many years of sustained success, the MCU is at a crossroads. It’s getting to a point where it’s increasingly difficult to continue the current continuity, given how many actors and actresses have moved on from their roles.
But I believe Avengers: Secret Wars will present a unique opportunity to continue building the MCU for years to come and it involves a soft reboot. Please note this is not a rumor or speculation. This is just me making the case that a soft reboot of the MCU might be the best recourse for the future of this ever-evolving cinematic universe. Enjoy!

Okay, I’ve taken a moment to catch my breath.
I know I don’t normally just post short bits like this. I’m kind of working off raw adrenaline at the moment. I just wanted to share this news and the unfiltered joy it gave me.
Like many, I was very disappointed at the lack of X-Men news at D23 and San Diego Comic Con this past year. I worried we weren’t going to get much else aside from X-Men 97.
Then, Ryan Reynolds decides to drop this little bombshell on us. And I can’t thank him enough for that.
Suddenly, it looks like 2024 is going to be one of the most epic years in the history of cinema and I am so ready for it!

How Jason Aaron’s Heroes Reborn Won Me Over
The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This video is both a review and a retrospect of Jason Aaron’s Heroes Reborn, a major crossover event from 2021, which is also the same name of a major mini-series from the late 90s. It was a strange event and one with a title that carried a lot of baggage. I know because I remember that mini-series and it was forgotten for a good reason.
As a result, I freely admit I was very skeptical about this series. But I still gave it a chance. Much to my surprise, it exceeded my expectations in so many unexpected ways. And since it’s release, I think it’s worth exploring and celebrating. Enjoy!
Jack’s Fan Theories | Marvel Cinematic Universe | The Onslaught Theory
The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This video is my first attempt at a fan theory. For this theory, I attempt to surmise a way for Marvel Studios to integrate mutants into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We already know they’re coming. Kevin Feige has announced it. A variant of Charles Xavier showed up in Multiverse of Madness. And mutation was directly referenced in the finale of Ms. Marvel.
But even though we know mutants are set to enter the MCU, there remains a number of pressing questions.
Where have they been all this time?
Why did mutants never show up during major events like Infinity War?
This theory, which I call the Onslaught Theory, attempts to answer that with a hypothetical scenario that builds directly on recent events. Please note this is just my personal theory. It may or may not get debunked in the near future.

It was set up to be the most epic hero-versus-hero clash of all time. But ultimately, it turned into a battle that nobody truly won the grand scheme of things.
