This video is my full review of Ultimate Black Panther #2 by Bryan Hill and Stefano Casalli. In the first issue, Wakanda suffered a devastating attack at the hands of Khonshu and Ra. Now, Wakanda is at war with the Maker’s Council. But on top of the war, some major complications enter the mix that escalate quickly in this blossoming new Ultimate universe. Enjoy!

This video is my review of Ultimate X-Men #1. The recently rebooted Ultimate Universe has been off to a great start. Ever since Ultimate Invasion, this new Marvel universe has blossomed in all the right ways.
But Ultimate X-Men #1 effectively ends that winning streak. Because this issue was a completely unmitigated failure on every level. It was one of the worst comics I’ve read since the end of the former Ultimate universe. And its failure is worth highlighting.

This video is my full review of Ultimate Spider-Man #1 by Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto. This newly-rebooted Ultimate universe is in need of its heroes. But the Peter Parker in this universe never became Spider-Man as a teenager. Instead, he lived a normal life, marrying Mary Jane Watson and having two kids with her.
Now, in wake of the events of Ultimate Invasion, we finally see the origin of a very different, but ultimately refreshing kind of Spider-Man. Enjoy!

This video is my review of Jean Grey #1, the first issue of Jean’s mini-series by Louise Simonson and Bernard Chang. This video spins directly out of the bloody events of the 2023 Hellfire Gala, which sent Jean back to the brink of death once more. Now, she finds herself in a strange state of uncertainty, contemplating where it all went wrong and how she’ll go about fixing it. Enjoy!

This video is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This is video another entry in my ongoing “Jack’s Comic Gems” collection. And this fantastic gem brought a different kind of story from a familiar character.
For much of her history, Susan “Invisible Woman” Richards has always been defined by her role in the Fantastic Four. As a loving mother figure to many, she is very much the heart of the First Family.
But in this unique mini-series, Partners In Crime, she takes on a very different role for a very different kind of mission. It gives Sue a chance to show what she can do on her own and it turned out to be a hell of a ride. Enjoy!

This is another video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This is video another entry in my ongoing “Jack’s Comic Gems” collection. And this particular gem takes Cyclops, one of the most controversial and well-known X-Men characters, and puts him in an unfamiliar setting. He’s not leading the X-Men. He’s not clashing with Wolverine or obsessing over Jean Grey. He’s not even in his adult form thanks to some time travel shenanigans.
Instead, he’s in space re-connecting with his father, Corsair. He’s going on adventures with the Starjammers, channeling his inner space pirate. It’s not your typical Cyclops story, but that’s exactly what made it such a gem. Enjoy!

This time, I highlight a single issue from the first volume of Mighty Morphin Power Ranger by Boom Studios. It was, in my opinion, one of the most pivotal issues to date. It gave us the origin story of Grace Sterling, as well as a new perspective on what it means to be a Ranger.
