This video is my review of Ultimate X-Men #2. After this newly rebooted Ultimate Universe delivered so many amazing first issues, Ultimate X-Men really disappointed. It was one of the most underwhelming comics I’ve read in a long time, lacking anything that would make it an appealing X-Men comic, let alone an Ultimate comic on par with what others have done.
My review of the first issue earned quite a bit of flak. But I always intended to review the second issue. I don’t let one bad issue define a series. And while this second issue was an improvement over the first, it was still lacking.

Ultimate X-Men #1 Review: Ultimate Utter Failure

This video is my review of Ultimate X-Men #1. The recently rebooted Ultimate Universe has been off to a great start. Ever since Ultimate Invasion, this new Marvel universe has blossomed in all the right ways.
But Ultimate X-Men #1 effectively ends that winning streak. Because this issue was a completely unmitigated failure on every level. It was one of the worst comics I’ve read since the end of the former Ultimate universe. And its failure is worth highlighting.

Ultimate X-Men: Concerns, Complications, And Implications For Ultimate Marvel
This is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World.
This video covers some of the concerns I have regarding the future of Ultimate X-Men. When this series was announced after Ultimate Invasion, we learned that Peach Momoko will be writing and drawing it. We also learned a bit about the kind of story it’ll tell.
And for the moment, those details have me worried.
I hope those worries are ultimately unfounded. But I thought I’d share them because I think they have major implications for the future of this new Ultimate Universe. Enjoy!
