Announcement: New Approach To Website

home-renovation-signs-renovation-pardon-our-mess-signwelcome-home-america_f7aed1d80e8fb93f

This is just a quick announcement on the future of this website and my writing endeavors. For the past few weeks, I’ve been contemplating how to go about improving the content and experience of this site. I’ve also been contemplating the amount of time and effort I put into it, whether it pertains to promoting my novels or crafting sexy short stories.

When I started this website, my main goal was to establish a presence the crowded space that is the internet. From that presence, I hoped to generate an audience that enjoys my novels, my stories, and my occasional insights into issues that range from complex gender dynamics to sex robots. If I can make those issues sexy, then that’s a nice bonus.

While I enjoy talking about these topics, the time and effort that goes into each article is pretty extensive. Indeed, it has helped generate traffic for this website, but I feel as though little has come from this traffic, other than improving my stats. I don’t want that to be the sole measure of success for this site.

As such, I’ve decided to adopt a new approach for this website. I’ll continue to write articles on hot-button issues that range from abortion to artificial intelligence to depictions of video game characters. However, they will no longer be a daily feature. I’d rather focus on quality over quantity when discussing those issues, especially given the sensitive nature of certain topics.

Instead, I’d like to put more emphasis into my sexy short stories, comic book reviews, and other kinds of reviews that I feel have a sexy sort of relevance. I’ll also begin a regular column that I call my “Daily Sexy Musings,” which are more drawn-out version of my weekly Sexy Sunday Thoughts. These musings, I hope, will provide a sexy start to your day and get you thinking more sexy thoughts.

Ideally, I’ll establish a regular schedule for musings, sexy short stories, and serious articles about hot-button issues. If you have any suggestions or preferences for how I go about providing content on this site, please let me know in the comments. I’m certainly open to suggestions.

I genuinely want this website to succeed, both in terms of traffic and in terms of furthering my goals as a writer. I’d like to make a career out of writing and I want this site to play a part in the process. I’m not sure how to go about it, but I’m willing to learn and do the necessary work. Hopefully, it’ll make for a lucrative and sexy payoff.

I expect the next few months to be a time of adjustments and changes. To all those who have supported this site over the past couple years, I sincerely thank you and I hope to keep providing quality sexy content.

Milestones, Publishing Plans, And Gratitude

video_preview_0000

It’s been a while since I’ve talked about my ongoing efforts to further my career as an aspiring erotica/romance writer. It’s also been a while since I talked about the traffic volumes of this website. To be fair, recent events involving superhero movies, sex robots, and news involving frustrating social trends have given me plenty to write about. Even with those distractions, I know I’m due for an update of sorts.

First and foremost, I want to make clear that I’m still working hard at breaking into the world of publishing. While “Passion Relapse” and “Rescued Hearts” marked my first novels that were officially published, thanks to Totally Entwined Group, I had hoped they would be a stepping stone. That hasn’t quite worked out.

For the past few months, I’ve been shopping multiple manuscripts that I’ve been sitting on for a while now. However, much to my dismay, none have been accepted for publication. While Totally Entwined Group has been wonderfully helpful every step of the way, they’ve chosen to go in a different direction and I’m almost back at square one.

I say almost because, as I write this, I’ve got another novel that has been in publishing limbo for over a year now. That novel, “Embers of Eros,” was accepted a while back by a small publisher for consideration. I got news just a few weeks ago that the publisher is shutting down and I’ll be getting the full rights to the novel back.

This novel was already professionally edited and even had cover art made for it. I’m hoping that will make it a more appealing offer for publishers or literary agents. I’m still working on the details since there is some paperwork involved, but I still hope to get that book published at some point.

While the news surrounding my novels hasn’t been that promising, things are going much better with my Sexy Short Stories. I began doing these late last year as an experiment in providing more diverse content on this site. The results exceeded my expectations.

The traffic generated by these stories has been growing steadily with each story. This past month, they’ve helped this site set yet another traffic milestone. According to my WordPress stats, this site generated over 22,000 views for June 2018. Some of my most heavily-trafficked pages included short stories like “The New Neighbor” and “The Camping Trip.”

To date, I’ve written 13 of these stories and I’ve plans to write many more. I’m not yet decided on the release schedule for them. I’m contemplating whether I should set a day aside for them like I do with my Sexy Sunday Thoughts. I’ve also thought about having a regular release schedule, such as releasing them on a bi-weekly basis.

These are all tentative plans, but with the way traffic has grown this past month, I really want to further those plans as much as possible. If anyone out there who has been regularly following this site has any preferences, comments, or suggestions, please let me know in the comments. I’m happy to listen to feedback of all kinds.

I still want to publish sexy novels. I still want to tell sexy stories and, hopefully, make a living from it. Things are a bit in flux now, but I’m going to keep at it. I have plenty of sexy ideas to share and I look forward to doing so.

In the meantime, I want to thank everyone who has helped this site grow so much in recent months. From the bottom of my heart, I really appreciate it. I hope to keep this site growing as much as possible. If that means stepping up my efforts in telling even sexier stories, then so be it.

A New Year, A New Month, And ANOTHER Big Traffic Increase!

These past couple of months have been a wild ride for this website. After November 2017 kick-started a major surge in traffic, thanks largely to Reddit, the bar was raised beyond my wildest dreams. It left me both excited, but cautious.

A surge like that could also be an anomaly. I was entirely prepared for that possibility. After generating around 16k visitors in November, I wouldn’t have been too surprised by small or moderate decline the next month. Then, December 2017 came and went and I’m happy to say the boost was not fluke.

Much to my relief/chagrin, the traffic growth continued. December 2017 didn’t just match the high bar set by November 2017. It exceeded it and not by a small margin. When the ball dropped on New Years Eve to end the month and usher in 2018, the final traffic toll stood at approximately 19.4k.

It might not be quite as dramatic an increase like the one I saw from October to November in 2017, but it was still another big boost. I don’t know if it’ll continue into 2018, but I’m certainly going to make the effort. With a new novel coming out in February, I certainly want to keep growing this site as much as possible.

So to all those who have been visiting and supporting this site, I sincerely thank you. I hope to keep bringing quality, sexy content to this site for 2018 and beyond.

Putting This Site’s Traffic Surge Into Perspective

I meant to make this sooner. After every month, I usually do a quick post to update regular visitors to this website on how much or how little the traffic has increased. For the most part, traffic has gone up steadily since I began regularly posting on this site back in early 2016. By steadily, I mean a few hundred visitors at most.

Then, November 2017 came along. At the same time, I joined the wonderful digital world that is Reddit. Since then, there has been nothing steady about the traffic increase this site has gotten. I honestly had no idea the flood of visitors would come so quickly and so consistently.

To put things into perspective, here’s a quick overview of the numbers. In October, my overall traffic count for the entire month was around 1,800 visitors. It was only a slight uptick compared to September, but I was still proud of that.

Then, after joining Reddit on the last day of October, I topped that amount in the span of two days. At first, I though it was the flukiest of flukes. I’m so glad I was wrong. By the end of November, my total traffic count stood at approximately 16,100 visitors. Do the math and that amounts to a roughly 894 percent increase. Find one non-Bitcoin related trend that can match that kind of performance.

I’m still in shock at the sheer breadth of this increase. To give a hint as to just how big a shift this is, my most heavily-trafficked article, which happened to be a piece I did about my conversation with a transgender woman, got more traffic in one day than this entire site got in a single month. Once again, I can’t thank Reddit enough for making it possible.

Now, this may still be a fluke in the sense that this increase was a simple spike. There’s a real chance that the traffic will decline or level off. I’m still learning to navigate Reddit effectively. I’ve had a few missteps, but I’m trying to learn from them. I hope to continue building this site’s base through Reddit and whatever other means I can utilize.

Whatever the future of this site, I sincerely thank all those who have supported this blog as it endures its growing pains. I hope it continues to grow in the sexiest way possible. Rest assured I’ll work hard to make that happen.
