“Rescued Hearts” Is Out TODAY!

rescuedhearts_9781786862631_800

Today is another milestone in my endeavor to become a successful erotica/romance writer. I’ve been looking forward to this day since late last year when I announced that Totally Entwined Group, the same publisher who published “Passion Relapse,” agreed to publish another one of my novels.

That achievement, in and of itself, was pretty big. Just getting one novel published in “Passion Relapse” was tough enough. Some may even call that a fluke. One bit of success can be attributed to luck or circumstance. Just ask Trent Dilfer. Two published novels, however, is not a fluke. It may very well be the start of a trend.

That’s why I’m so excited to announce the official release of “Rescued Hearts,” my second published novel of Totally Entwined Group. If you liked “Passion Relapse,” you’ll probably enjoy this story too. However, this is a very different kind of story. It’s still a love story. It still has plenty of sexy elements. It’s just the application of those elements that’s different.

“Rescued Hearts” is the kind of story in which two people just finding each other isn’t enough. There are obstacles that will actively hinder their ability to be together and I’m not just talking about laundry habits. The obstacles here are serious and downright dangerous.

The love and passion in this story can’t just blossom on its own. It has to be earned. That’s why I believe it’ll strike the right chords with those who appreciate love, romance, and the sexy elements that make it so special. Winter isn’t over yet, but this sexy story will help guide you through.

“Rescued Hearts”
By Jack Fisher

Have you ever fallen in love with an angel? Candy Carter has. A self-proclaimed trailer-trash princess, she seems destined to live a life of quiet deviance in Haven Hill, a dying rural town overrun by drug dealers and criminals.

Then, in her darkest hour, EMT Ryan Roth saves her life when a forest fire ravages her town. That fateful encounter doesn’t just endear him to her heart. It inspires her to leave Haven Hill and build a better life, much to the dismay of her jealous ex-fiancé, Paul Reynolds. She runs away, enrolls in college and tries to become the kind of woman who was worth saving.

But just as that life seems to be taking shape, Candy crosses paths with the man who’d been her angel, only to find out that he’s divorced and miserable. As they reconnect, old dreams transform into new passions and hope for the future for them both. However, Candy’s old life comes back to haunt her. Her angel may not be able to save her this time, or they may both lose their lives.

As always, I encourage everyone to both read the book and provide feedback. I’m always open to discussing the sexy and non-sexy elements of the story. That kind of feedback helps me become a better writer and I want to keep writing more sexy stories, be they novels or the sexy short stories I occasionally share.

I also have plenty of other sexy stories I hope to get published. I consider “Rescued Hearts” just another step in the process. I hope to share more news about future novels, be they with Totally Entwined Group or some other publisher. Until then, please take the time to enjoy this sexy tale of romance, passion, and everything in between.

It’s a new year full of new opportunities, but some of us are just trying to get through the winter before we freeze to death. I try to do my part, keeping people warm with sexy thoughts and reminders that the world is getting better. At the end of the day, though, I’m still an aspiring erotica/romance writer and I’m still working hard to achieve my dream of being a successful writer.

Another step in that endeavor is that much closer. Last year, I proudly announced the upcoming release of my second published novel, “Rescued Hearts.” My publisher, Totally Entwined Group, took a chance on me with “Passion Relapse” and they see fit to take another with a second novel.

As it stands, the release date of February 20th, 2018 is still on. It’s still the middle of winter so I hope it’s hot enough and sexy enough to get everyone through the last stretch of winter. With that date now less than a month away, I’m proud to announce that pre-orders for “Rescued Hearts” are now available!

“Rescued Hearts” Pre-Order

If you wish to be the first to check out this sexy story, then I highly recommend pre-ordering it to ensure it’s either on its way in the mail or beamed right to whatever eBook reading device you prefer. I’m excited and eager to promote the hell out of this novel once it comes out. For those looking to get ahead of the curve, though, now is the time. Pre-order your copy now and get ready to feel a little hotter this winter for the sexiest possible reasons. Until then, do what you can to stay warm and sexy.

“Rescued Hearts” Update And Revised (Earlier!) Release Date

rescuedhearts_9781786862631_800

I know it’s been a while since I’ve talked about the status of my upcoming book, “Rescued Hearts.” I noted earlier this year that its release had been delayed, due some reshuffling going on at my publisher, Totally Entwined Group. I can’t, for personal and professional reasons, disclose what exactly went on. Just know that it has been hectic for them.

Well, over the past few months, things have finally started to settle at Totally Entwined Group. My editor has been reaching out to established authors, including me, letting us all know that they’re steadily regaining some sense of normalcy. As such, they’ve updated the release schedule for their upcoming novels and “Rescued Hearts” is one of them.

I’m happy to say that the update is good news for me and those eager for more sexy romance, especially after my last novel, “Passion Relapse.” Originally, “Rescued Hearts” had been pushed all the way back to mid-June 2018. Well, that date has been bumped up and just in time for the winter. This is now the updated release schedule.

Pre-order: January 9th, 2018
General Release: February 20th, 2018

So to all you sexy romance fans out there, update your calendars and organize your panties accordingly. “Rescued Hearts” is coming and it’s going to help keep you warm this winter. I’ll be promoting the hell out of it, along with all the other sexy stuff on this website. Stay tuned for more teases and previews. If “Passion Relapse” got your heart racing, then “Rescued Hearts” should keep the blood flowing in all the right ways.

New Manuscript Submitted To Publisher!

I just wanted to make a quick, but exciting announcement. Earlier today, I submitted another manuscript for review to my current publisher, Totally Entwined Group. While they are still going through some transitions that I’m not at liberty to disclose, resulting in the delay of my upcoming novel, “Rescued Hearts,” they are still accepting manuscripts from published writers. That includes me.

I have high hopes for this novel. It’s quite different from “Rescued Hearts” and “Passion Relapse.” It involves love, romance, and intimacy, but not in the way you might expect. It actually plays off a thought experiment I’ve pitched on this blog before. I won’t say which, but trust me. You’ll know it when you see it.

Given the changes at Totally Entwined Group, it may take a while to get a response from my editor on this. If I hear back, I’ll be sure to make an announcement. I feel like this novel has the potential to turn into something bigger, if I can create an audience. I look forward to sharing more details about it once I hear back from my publisher.

“Rescued Hearts” Update: First Edits Complete And Lessons On Sexy Scenes

If becoming an successful erotica/romance writer is like sex, I like to think I’ve at least gotten to second base at this point. Just writing a sexy novel is hard enough. I’ve written eight so far, which I think counts for something. I’m not saying every one of those novels is an erotica masterpiece on the same level as Jenna Jameson’s tits, but they show I have put the work in. I am that determined to be an erotica/romance writer.

Getting “Passion Relapse” published by Totally Entwined Group was my first taste of the official publishing process. It was a novel experience, to say the least. That experience included no less than three rounds of edits, one of which involved me rewriting an entire chapter. If you’ve read the novel, and you should, you may be able to sense which part got rewritten. It’s a sign of just how far I have to go in this endeavor.

Since “Rescued Hearts” got accepted by Totally Entwined Group, I’m getting another chance at learning the process. While “Rescued Hearts” is a different kind of erotica/romance novel compared to “Passion Relapse,” it still relies heavily on the same elements to make the story sexy.

I say all this because earlier this week, I received the first batch of edits along with my contract by Totally Entwined Group. The edits, this time around, weren’t quite as extensive as the first batch I got with “Passion Relapse.” Some of that counts as progress, but I think most of it has to do with me just being more familiar with Totally Entwined Group’s writing style.

Even so, I managed to complete the edits and send them back. Usually, the first round is the most extensive so getting them done means we’re on track with the release date this October. I expect a few more rounds of edits over the next month or so, but I’ll be surprised if I have to rewrite an entire chapter like I did with “Passion Relapse.”

However, one issue did come up in the first round of edits that also came up with “Passion Relapse.” In both cases, my editor paid extra attention to the sexy parts and often asked me to rewrite them. I get that’s important. This is an erotica/romance novel. People read it for the sex appeal and not the pretty dots on the page.

This being my second published novel, though, I think I need to put more work into making my sexy scenes a bit sexier. One of the problems I had during the edits with “Passion Relapse” was that I got too detailed about the wrong things. That’s exactly as lurid as it sounds.

My editor often remarked how those scenes often had me describing the movements of body parts, as though they operated on their own. That really took away from the actual actions and sentiments of the characters involved. That makes sense. You can’t treat a character’s body as though it’s separate from the story. We save those kinds of disoriented narratives for rip-offs of “The Matrix.”

I was mindful of that when I wrote “Rescued Hearts.” I tried to make sure that I didn’t separate characters from body parts too much. This time, though, my editor also pointed out certain scenes that just weren’t sexy enough. I described what characters did, but not in an overly sexy sort of way. Given that this is an erotica/romance novel, that’s a big deal.

In some of my other self-published novels, namely “The Final Communion,” I was exceedingly detailed with the sexy scenes. I don’t think it ever got to the level of being gratuitous, but I did come dangerously close a few times. There’s a fine line between being sexy and just being crude. It’s a hard line to walk and one I’m going to have to walk skillfully if I’m to have a viable writing career.

I get that this is one of those skills that needs to be refined. I also get that these moments are the proverbial icing on the cake that readers of erotica/romance will savor. It matters that I make these scenes as sexy as possible.

As to how I’m going to go about that, that’s something I’ll have to learn and refine. It’s a process and one I’m still learning. These first rounds of edits show that I still have a ways to go. However, like any skill, including the sexy kinds, the more you do it, the better you get at it. I hope it shows this October when “Rescued Hearts” is released.

Announcement: “Rescued Hearts” Release Schedule

It’s been an exciting couple of weeks for me. Not only has summer arrived, thereby allowing me to spend more time naked, but I received word from Totally Entwined Group that they’re going to publish my second novel, “Rescued Hearts.”

This is another huge deal for me. Earlier this year, I celebrated one major milestone in my aspiration to become an erotica/romance writer. Thanks to Totally Entwined Group, I got my first novel, “Passion Relapse,” published. It’s a huge step for me because there’s only so much of an audience you can build through self-publishing.

Prior to “Passion Relapse,” I had a half-dozen other books I had self-published through services like Lulu. Being a nobody with no fanbase or audience, that really limits my ability to succeed. That’s why I need the support of a publisher and that’s why I’ll be forever grateful that Totally Entwined Group took a chance on me.

Working with them has been great and they seem to enjoy my presence just as much because they’re willing to publish more of my work. I’m already hard at work with them, editing my manuscript and giving “Rescued Hearts” the kind of polish that will make it that much sexier.

That effort now has a time frame. My editor has sent me a release schedule for “Rescued Hearts.” Even though I released “Passion Relapsea couple months ago, much to my elation, I want to get more of my sexy work out there. I want to be able to say that I had two published novels in 2017. If this current time frame holds, I’ll be able to say that with a smile on my face and a boner in my pants.

For those of you who got a taste of “Passion Relapse” and liked what they read, here’s the schedule. Plan your private time and your panties accordingly.

Pre-Order: 12th September, 2017
Early Download: 26th September, 2017
General Release: 24th October, 2017

Again, I’m going to work as hard as I can to keep this schedule with Totally Entwined Group. The editing process can be intensive. I actually had to rewrite huge chunks of “Passion Relapse” before it ever came out. I’m expecting “Rescued Hearts” to be every bit as intensive. As such, I have faith that it’ll be just as worth it.
