Strip Law: Better Than Expected?!

Adult animation can be very hit or miss. And for over a decade now, Netflix can boast a winning record. They’ve produced some of the best shows in adult animation. They’ve also produced outright trash.

When I first saw the trailer for Stirp Law, I didn’t have high expectations. It looked like another show destined for irrelevance and disappointment.

But that’s not what happened. I gave it a chance and I found it strangely good. It’s not great, but it ended up avoiding pitfalls it easily could’ve fallen into. And it’s worth giving a chance.

The Dragon Prince Season 6: Heartfelt, Heartache, And (Escalating) Drama

This is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World.

This video is my overall review and reaction to season 6 of The Dragon Prince.

This show has done plenty to captivate me since it first debuted. And the past two seasons have done plenty to move the story forward while deepening the mystery surrounding Aaravos.

But season 6 raised the stakes in a major way. Hard choices were made. Heavy losses were felt. And while the Callum/Rayla romance deepened, there’s a growing sense that it’s building towards something dramatic.

It was still my favorite season to date. But it left me wanting so much more. Enjoy!

The Dragon Prince Season 5: Review, Reaction, And Dark Trends

This is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This video is my general review and reaction to Season 5 of the Dragon Prince. After Season 4 skipped ahead a couple years, this incredible fantasy world and its characters changed a great deal. But Season 5 moved things forward while building towards bigger and darker conflicts. Aaravos is still very much a mystery, but the threat he poses is still as ominous as ever. And this season offers some telling trends and themes that are worth highlighting. Enjoy!

The Dragon Prince: Can Lord Viren Be Redeemed? (And Should He Be?)

The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This video ponders a simple question about “The Dragon Prince,” as it stands after season three.

Can Lord Viren be redeemed?

Moreover, should he be?

With the recent announcement that season four is coming at some point in 2022, I felt like the time was right to explore this notion. He crossed a lot of lines in the first three seasons. And by season three, he became the greatest threat to humans and elves alike.

However, there are some larger complications to his descent. I try to break those down in this video while assessing both sides. We won’t know for sure what Viren’s fate will be until season four comes along. In the meantime, I hope this video offers plenty to think about. Enjoy!

The Dragon Prince: A Case Study In Developing (Quality) Romance

The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. It’s my first video about a show I discovered on Netflix called “The Dragon Prince.” It’s very likely it won’t be the last because this show has captured my heart in all the right ways. There are many things that make it great, but one of the best happens to involve romance. Given my fondness for romance and writing romantic stories, that definitely adds to the appeal.

In this particular video, I highlight and celebrate how the show’s main romantic sub-plot involving Callum and Rayla raised he bar for love stories everywhere. Seriously, if you’re a romance fan, this show is worth watching just for that. Hopefully, this video helps make that case. Enjoy!

Paradise PD: Obscene, Disgusting, And Hilarious

The following is a video from my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. It’s a full review of the first three season of “Paradise PD,” a raunchy animated show on Netflix. I’ve covered this show before during previous seasons. I also don’t deny the crude, obscene humor that this show employs. However, it’s still one of those rare shows that makes the obscenity work.

This video is a more comprehensive effort to celebrate the show’s crude humor, as well as the unexpected heart it explores in the latest season. If you have a strong stomach and a good sense of humor, I highly recommend checking out this show. Hopefully, this video will convince you to give it a shot. Enjoy!

New Video In Jack’s World: “F Is For Family: A Perfect Satire For The American Dream”

My new YouTube channel is small, but growing. Shortly after I posted my first video, I began work on my next one. This one is actually an expansion of a piece I wrote a while back on “F is for Family.” With a new season set to debut later this week, I thought the time was right to do a video on the show’s larger themes.

That means more discussion about why Frank Murphy is so angry with the world. It also means more insights into why he threatens to put people through a fucking wall. I hope it’s as awesome as it sounds. Enjoy!
