I’m Officially On Twitch!

Every now and then, I feel compelled to try something new in hopes that it’ll become a new passion or at least help me connect with other like-minded people. For much of my early life, right up until I was in my mid-20s, I was generally reluctant. I spent a good chunk of my life dealing with crippling anxiety, shyness, and sub-par social skills. I like to think I’ve gotten better. But when it comes to trying new things, I’m still behind the curve compared to most.

So, when I do attempt something new, it’s noteworthy and exciting. For the most part, those attempts have been successful. I consider this site and my YouTube channel a success in that regard. Now, I’m hoping to add a new endeavor to the mix.

To that end, I’d like to officially announce that I’ve joined Twitch. I now have my own channel and I just recently began streaming on it.

Now, I’ve been aware of Twitch for quite some time. Some of my friends regularly use it. But for the most part, I didn’t really get into it. I just know that whenever I explain Twitch to older people, their reactions are often funny.

I tell them that it’s largely a channel where people stream themselves playing video games and other people join in to watch. When they ask why anyone would want to do that, I often counter with why anyone would want to watch other people play sports. I also point out that a lot of people my age have fond memories of getting together with friends, hanging out, and watching one another play our favorite video games.

I’m one of them. I can’t count how many hours I spent with my friends just watching them play games like Goldeneye or Mario Kart.

Twitch is just a bigger manifestation of that. And recently, I’ve caught up with some old friends of mine who are now active on Twitch. That inspired me to start a channel of my own. I’ve already made a number of YouTube videos showing me playing games like Marvel Strike Force and Cyberpunk 2077. This is just me expanding on that.

Like my YouTube channel, I don’t expect to get a lot of followers at first. But I’ve already found that it’s a fun way to interact with people and to share some personal thoughts here and there. In my first few streams, I even dropped some hints about upcoming YouTube videos. So, if you ever want to interact with me directly, this is another way to do it.

I also hope that, when I get a Playstation 5, it’ll be easier to use Twitch to share my gameplay. That could be another way to interact with friends and build an audience. Time will tell. But I just wanted to announce this for anyone interested in a different kind of interaction.

My Timed Run On Nodes 13 Through 15 In Dark Dimension V In Marvel Strike Force

What follows are a series of videos that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This is all captured footage of me playing through Nodes 13, 14, and 15 of my timed run on Dark Dimension V, which are the legendary nodes.

These are the last three nodes of my timed run. Compared to the first run, this was a lot easier, thanks to me gearing up Shuri. She made a huge difference by providing more healing and defense. Thanks to her, I was able to one-shot each node except the last one. That didn’t make the victory at the end any less sweet and cathartic. Enjoy!

Here’s me going through Node 13 in one shot.

Here’s me going through Node 14 in one shot.

Here’s me going through Node 15, which took me two attempts. This is final node and completing it gave me the final bits of gear I needed to max Dormammu.

I hope these videos help other players prepare for Dark Dimension 5. And to my two alliances who supported me every step of the way, Legion of Doom and X-Academy (Venom), I sincerely thank you.

My Timed Run On Nodes 10 Through 12 In Dark Dimension V In Marvel Strike Force

What follows are a series of videos that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. This is all captured footage of me playing through Nodes 10, 11, and 12 of my timed run on Dark Dimension V, which are the cosmic nodes.

And this is where my timed run actually felt genuine fun. That’s because this time, I had a gear 16 Dormammu to help me out instead of using Ravager Sitcher. It was a huge upgrade, to say the least. I wasn’t able to one-shot every node, but it was still a lot smoother. I can confirm that even Dormammu when he’s not fully leveled up is an amazing character in this game. Enjoy!

Here’s me going through Node 10.

Here’s me going through Node 11.

Here’s me going through Node 12. This is where Dormammu made the biggest difference.

My Timed Run On Nodes 7 Through 9 In Dark Dimension V In Marvel Strike Force

What follows are a series of videos that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. These are captured footage of me playing through Nodes 7, 8, and 9 of my timed run on Dark Dimension V, which are the global nodes.

However, unlike previous nodes, I wasn’t able to do much to upgrade my characters this time around. As a result, I struggled more than I did the first time. In hindsight, I should’ve invested in upgrading Sharon Carter over Emma Frost. I still made it through, but it was a real slog from start to finish, especially on the last node. Please learn from my mistakes. Enjoy!

Here’s me going through Node 7.

Here’s me going through Node 8, which was the biggest challenge of this run to date.

Here’s me making my way through Node 9. That last wave sucked.

My Timed Run On Nodes 4 Through 6 In Dark Dimension V In Marvel Strike Force

What follows are a series of videos that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. These are captured video of me playing through Nodes 4, 5, and 6 of my timed run on Dark Dimension V, which are the city nodes. Since my first run, I did manage to upgrade these characters somewhat and it did make a difference, albeit not as much as I’d like. I still hope those still planning for this stage gain some valuable insight. Enjoy!

Here’s me going through Node 4.

Here’s me going through Node 5.

My Timed Run On Nodes 1 Through 3 In Dark Dimension V In Marvel Strike Force

What follows are a series of videos that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. These are captured video of me playing through the the first three nodes of my timed run on Dark Dimension V. Having completed the first run and unlocked Dormammu, I’ve started my timed run in pursuit of the last round of prizes this stage has to offer.

Since this is my second go-around, I have more characters and options to utilize. I can already confirm Dormammu makes a big difference. These first three nodes were pretty easy, but I expect them to get much harder. Enjoy!

Here’s me going through Node 2.

Here’s me making my way through Node 3.

My Run On Nodes 13 Through 15 (The Legendary Nodes) In Dark Dimension V In Marvel Strike Force

What follows are a series of videos that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. These are captured video of me playing through the Legendary nodes (Nodes 13 through 15) for my first run on Dark Dimension V. This is the final stage and making it through was extra satisfying. I did make some mistakes early on. It turns out Black Bolt wasn’t very useful, but Morgan Le Fey and Omega Red were definitely the MVPs. I hope that helps others prepare accordingly. Enjoy!

Here’s me going through Node 13.

Now, here’s me going through Node 14.

Here’s me making my way through Node 15, the final stage and all the goodies that followed.

My Run On Nodes 10 Through 12 (The Cosmic Nodes) In Dark Dimension V In Marvel Strike Force

What follows are a series of videos that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. These are captured video of me playing through the cosmic nodes (Nodes 10 through 12) for my first run on Dark Dimension V. I was a bit overly cheap in choosing to gear up Ravager Stitcher. While he was a bit squishy, the Eternals really carried me through. I hope that helps others prepare accordingly. Enjoy!

Here’s me going through Node 10.

Now, here’s me going through Node 11.

Here’s me making my way through Node 12.

What follows are a series of videos that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. They are captured video of me playing through the global nodes (Nodes 7 through 9) for my first run on Dark Dimension V. Here’s me going through Node 7.

Now, here’s me going through Node 8.

Here’s me making my way through Node 9. Once again, Doom and Captain Sam were the stars.

My Run On Nodes 4 Through 6 (The City Nodes) In Dark Dimension V In Marvel Strike Force

What follows are a series of videos that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, Jack’s World. They are captured video of me making my way through the city nodes (Nodes 4 through 6) of my first run on Dark Dimension V. These were more challenging than the first three nodes, but my investment in certain characters, namely Cloak and Dagger, really paid off. I hope this helps others in this game prepare accordingly.

Here’s me going through Node 4. Please note I had some issues with the video recording. I did my best to clear it up. I apologize if it’s hard to follow.

Now, here’s me going through Node 5, which ended up being the most challenging node of the City nodes. I did make a few mistakes, but Cloak and Dagger really showed their worth here.

Here’s me making my way through Node 6. I got a little lucky with the RNG here, but once again Cloak and Dagger proved to be my most valuable characters for this section of Dark Dimension V.
