Jackpot by Jack Fisher Now On Sale!

As I continue to wait for news on “Embers of Eros,” I’m proud to announce that I’ve self-published another book to add to my resume. This is a book I wrote earlier this year to get myself through a long, cold, dreary winter. A long stretch of cold, lonely nights had me longing for the warm desert sun of places like Las Vegas. Why Las Vegas? Well, any beach can offer sun, surf, and bikinis. Las Vegas, however, offers so much more.

It’s a fantasy world and one that I’ve written about before with The Escort and the Gigolo. However, that story involved strippers, crime lords, and deception. This story is different, although it does involve strippers as well. Why? Does there really need to be a reason?

This story takes place through the eyes of a man experiencing the fantasy world of Las Vegas for the first time. It’s somewhat reflective of my own experience. I first visited Las Vegas when I was 21-years-old. Needless to say, it made quite an impression. Expect it to make just as great an impression on this man, if not more so.

There’s passion, drama, and fantasy on top of pure sex appeal. It’s not overly elaborate, which is why I’m opting to self-publish through Lulu. It’s just a quick, crude, sexy story to help get others through cold lonely nights. Enjoy!

Jonathan Jackson Daniels knows a thing or two about luck. He came from a no-name town. He worked a dead end job. He lived his whole life seeing few get lucky breaks and even fewer make something of that luck. Then, in the luckiest break anyone could get, he won the lottery. He has the chance of a lifetime, but is scared to death of squandering it.

So before he tells anyone about his big break, he takes a trip to Las Vegas. He goes not knowing what to expect, only that he’s going to indulge in the fruits of his luck. That’s where he meets an enchanting woman named Janine “Jani” Jasmine. She makes it her mission to give him the time of his life, pushing his newfound luck to the absolute limit. But can a small-town guy like Jonathan handle her? Is he destined to squander his jackpot like so many others?

Side-Project and “Embers of Eros”

Quick update to start the morning. I still haven’t heard back from my editor at Crimson Frost Books regarding the status of “Embers of Eros.” They’re a bit understaffed right now so I guess that’s to be expected. But just because one project is still pending doesn’t mean others can’t move forward.

While I write books like “Embers of Eros” with publishers in mind, I also do a number of side-projects on the side that I don’t expect publishers to pick up. These books are short, sweet, and sexy on an appropriate scale. I like to write them as a means of refining my craft. When I do feel like I’ve refined a side-project enough for public consumption, I self-publish it, as I’ve done with all my work thus far. I do this through Lulu.

It’s fairly cheap. It’s quick. And it effectively gets my material to multiple outlets. The side-project I’ve been working on is just about done processing. As soon as it’s ready, I’ll make an announcement here and add it to my publishing portfolio. Until then, here’s a simple teaser.

Las Vegas. High Rollers. Winning big. Can you handle it?

Update on “Embers of Eros”

Just a quick update on what I hope will be my first published book through an actual publisher. The book is entitled “Embers of Eros” and for the past couple years, I’ve been coordinating with the fine folks at Crimson Frost Books to make it my first major collaboration with a publisher. They’re a small publishing house, but they are the first to review one of my manuscripts and accept it. They’ve had their share of challenges over the past year, but it seems they’re finally on track.

Just last night, I submitted what I hope is the last round of paperwork. So I guess from here on out, I’ve just got to play the waiting game as best I can. Everything seems to be falling into place. I’ve already seen the cover art for “Embers of Eros.” I’m not sure I’m allowed to share it just yet, but as soon as I get the go ahead, I’ll post it here. It’s appropriately hot. That’s all I can say.

I’ll be sure to post more information as I get it, which I hope includes the cover art. I hope this is the start of a bold new partnership and another important step in my writing career.

Overdue Update

I know. I know it’s been a LONG time since I’ve posted on this blog. I admit. I’ve negated it. In my defense, I’ve been trying to re-organize my writing efforts. After publishing Skin Deep, I spent the next couple years looking for more efficient means of publishing my work. I’ve tried self-publishing services like Lulu and I’ve been sending out query letters and manuscripts to no end, hoping I can build a foundation or a career. It has been slow going to say the least, but I think I’m ready to start taking this blog seriously again.

Recently, I got word from a small ebook publisher called Crimson Frost that they’re willing to publish one of my books, which I call Embers of Eros. It’s a book I wrote a while back and hope to expand on if all goes well. I’m currently in the process of coordinating with Crimson Frost. I hope they can help me establish myself in the publishing world.

In the meantime, I’ll be doing my best to catch this blog up on all the items I haven’t posted over the past few years. Please be patient with me. It’s going to be a bit chaotic, but I’m going to try and make this work.

Skin Deep – Now Available On Amazon

Skin Deep Cover

Today is a big day for me! My first self-published book is officially available on Amazon.com! I’ve been looking forward to this moment. Everyone writer has to start somewhere and today, this is my official beginning. For anyone out there who is interested in stories involving drama, romance, and sex then I strongly encourage you to check this book out! Here’s the full Amazon description:

Skin Deep – By Jack Fisher

What would you do if you could be as beautiful as you wanted to be? And what would you do when that beauty opened the doors to a new world of opportunity, pleasure, and indulgence?

Benjamin Prescott never had that choice. He was a nobody, born into a frail body that was weak, sickly, and unattractive. Conversely, his childhood friend, Mary Williams, was blessed with a natural beauty that granted her a great many opportunities. Throughout high school, Ben watched Mary as she made friends with other attractive girls, drew attention from equally attractive boy, and indulge in the various pleasures that her body afforded her. Now as their graduation approaches, she seemed destined to drift away from him while he is doomed to a life of obscurity. But that all changes on a fateful school trip to Genetix Lab, an up-and-coming company that boasts great advances in biotechnology. In a horrific accident, Ben is seriously wounded and faces a grim prognosis. Neither his frail body nor jaded spirit is capable of healing. It leads him to cross paths with the mysterious Dr. Warren Irvine. He offers Ben a radical new treatment that promises to not only heal him, but make him as attractive and healthy as he wants to be. In the span of a few weeks, he goes from being an unattractive nobody to a very attractive somebody with a body worthy of an athlete or male model. It affords him new opportunities for indulgence that he never had before and promises to change his relationship with Mary forever.

But in accepting Dr. Irvine’s offer, he unwittingly becomes involved in a series of lurid experiments that will test the human capacity for indulgence. It’s a story of beauty, lust, love, sex, and pleasure. How much can Mary, Ben, and all those who take advantage of their beauty handle before it consumes them? Is beauty truly skin deep? Or is the human drive for pleasure too powerful to overcome?
